Was recently in a game disscussion were one guy got into so serious nerd rage. Hes mostly a very laid back guy never have seen him like this about what I would consider a minor thing. Has anyone else experianced a gamer get into a bout of nerd rage were they want to be right SO badly that they take offence to even minor disagreement?

While not familiar with the term "nerd rage," most of us like to think we're pretty much always right. If you consider yourself an expert, anyone who disagrees with you must certainly be wrong. If the person in the wrong continues to push, gather people to the cause, and give examples of how they're right, most people are going to dig their heels in that much harder. Admitting that you're wrong is an art that most of us lack, even being open to the option we might be wrong is difficul for many. Some of the people I play MtG with get this way. They blow up in a frothing, yelling rage and walk out. A week later they act like there never was a disagreement, either to sore to admit they were wrong or secretly believing they're still right. It's part of being friends, letting these things go. If you're immune to blowing up over something small just wait, I'm sure you'll be rethinking that in a day or two

I love nerd rage. Lots of it on the forums. Keep it up!

I think we're progressing from talking about nerd rage to talking about nerdyearnings.
