[u]Synopsis Well, another Monster-fight , even though it's a player-monster. Gladly, i have some of the tools needed to defeat her - glitterdust and see invis (missing cold iron, though), and a griffon to hopefully take her down to earth (and fire).
Setup Verren and Lelenia will start in these squares, map also indicates their movement for the first round. Both will start with a scroll of See Invis in hands, Lelenia with Glitterdust in addition.
Round-by-Round Depending on whether i see her already or not, both move out to their designated spots or stay where they are if i don't see her. R1: Both cast see invis. Lelenia gives scroll of Glitterdust to Verren. R2: Lelenia activate Griffon and order it to gain as much height as possible and fly towards map center. Verren use dorje of Vigor R3: Lelenia activate large BoT Animal (throw towards flutters anima) and order it to guard their backs/attack the other large BoT animal. Verren cast Glitterdust on Pixie if she is somewhere to be seen. Griffon dives/charges into her and hopefully starts the grapple. R4: Lelenia inspire Courage** Verren avoids flutters animal as good as possible, and moves closer to flutter for crystal shards. Griffon grapples* Large Animal seek and destroy her animal R5: Lelenia activate small BoT animal and order it to help in the grapple.** Verren look out for flutters animal, and moves closer to flutter for crystal shards. Griffon grapples* Large Animal seek and destroy her animal R6: Lelenia use mirror image** R7: Lelenia use Inspire again**

Rest of the Fight Lelenia has no real means to damage the pixie, so she will: - take potshots with the longbow if flutter is not grappling - use her dispell if Verren tells her so, or if flutter reaches the lava and seems unaffected. - recasts glitterdust from the other scroll should the pixie escape the grapple. Verren will: - try to identify any power flutter uses. If she is grappled and has at least Vigor, Energy Adaptation(fire) active (or 3+ unknown powers), he will tell Lelenia to dispell. - move as close as possible, and wait for the pixie to escape grapple, then crystal shard(4-4-3pp) her as long as she is not grappling. - fire one acid arrow, if unsuccessful due to EA: one scorching ray, else another acid arrow - use alternated true strikes and bowshots after his pps are depleted - use psionic weapon if available on any ranged touch power or ranged shot.
Griffon will: - grapple and move the grapple to the lava. Large BoT Animal will: - try to kill off other large BoT animal, and then join the grapple and move it to the lava. Small BoT Animal will: - go join the grapple and move it to the lava.
Grappling Contingencies
If flutters large BoT Animal is dead or far away, the large BoT animal will grapple, too.
if flutters large BoT Animal joins the grapple, Verren will cast shocking grasp (twice) on it, and my own large BoT animal will help to kill it off. also, the griffon will pin flutter until the large BoT animal is dead.

Flutters Animals: Our own animal should take care of it, Lelenia will take a potion of PfE for good measure if it closes in, though.
Use any available move action to refocus if necessary.
PfE vs. Bronze Griffon: does not work. it's an animated object.

The temple a-@*&$#-gain? I yearn for some wide-open spaces....
Start with bag of tricks in hand, hovering in the default position. Dodge buddies, based on who I can see and in decreasing order of priorty, are Verren, the Bronze Griffon, Kiki, any animals, and Lelenia.
Immediately manifest Escape Detection. Quietly float up to the ceiling and over the central area.
Toss an animal onto one of the ledges outside my starting box. If I've been located, order it to attack. If I haven't move quietly some more, toward but not directly over the central statue (I kind of fear an "animal antenna" sitting up there and sniffing me out), and order my critter to attack next round.
My main strategy is to try to survive long enough for my critters to win the fight for me, so my efforts need to be focused on whoever seems to have the best chance of locating me. For the two PCs, that's most likely whichever, if either, beat my Escape Detection. If both did, it's Lelenia, and if neither did, it's the Bronze Griffon. Unfortunately I don't really have any way of directing my animals to attack specific targets. But here's what I'll do for any given targets:
Griffon: Ugh. It can't really hurt me very effectively, but it can hold me down. Escape any grapples with Escape Artist, and compromise my concealment momentarily to order my animals to attack it (become visible, give the command, and become invisible again). Use Psionic Shots from my bow.
Animals: With Prot. Evil running (see below) and me flying, they can't hurt me very well, but they can scent me out, and I only have 40 rounds of Prot. Evil at most (20 if one is dispelled). But the easiest way to deal with them is to take out Lelenia.
Lelenia: Touchsight! She'll probably be invisible, or have Mirror Image running, or both. If there's no griffon around, use a stone of Touchsight to locate her. Take her down with Psionic Shots from my bow. If Touchsight is unnecessary, give her two Level 2 Astral Constructs with the Trip special to play with.
Verren: If he casts a spell with no apparent effect, I'm going to make the assumption that it's True Strike in preparation for an Acid Arrow. Draw and use a power stone of Specified Energy Adaptation (acid). Otherwise I'm going to ignore him until he's the last target left, since his multiclassed caster levels aren't so hot at hurting me. Exception: Kiki can be a moderate threat, and if I see her fly away from Verren, she becomes a higher priority than Lelenia. Either way, it's once again Psionic Shots with my bow for the win.
Contingencies: - If any enemy animals appear, immediately use a potion of Protection from Evil. Renew it if necessary. - If Glitterdusted, get away from the main melee and wait for it to wear off. This is especially important to attempt if I am blinded The top of the statue is safe for at least a round, perhaps more, but don't linger there too long because something can climb the statue to reach me. - Energy Push can be a wonderful thing if any of my Medium-sized opponents are ever within 10 feet of the lava. Use Cold and add Psionic Shot if I have my focus, and try to push 'em in. Don't augment. - If damaged by 10 HP or more, manifest a 5-PP Vigor. Renew it if it's expended or dispelled. - Save 5 PP to renew Escape Detection in case it gets dispelled. Exception: I know Lelenia only has one potential Dispel, so go ahead and use those 5 PP elsewhere if I know she's used it already. - Replace any animals that die or are incapacitated, of course. - It's more important to attack every round than it is to make every shot a Psionic Shot. If I have to move for self-defense, or if I fail my Concentration check, fire anyway. Switch to Crystal Shards from my dorje if I run out of arrows.

Born of the Burning Fang tribe of orcs, Gakhnalak always knew he was destined for greatness. He was strong, fast, skilled, and even smart (for an orc). He mastered the arts martial at an early age, and even demonstrated a talent for magic. Unimpressed by the paltry tasks his tribe attempted, he abandoned them in search of greater glory and power. He considered himself the greatest of all orcs (in potential, at least), the mightiest race in the world (again, in potential), and held all other races, especially half-orcs and elves, in great contempt.
All that changed when the dreams began. After his first defeat (actually a draw), in which he empathically shared the pain of an opponent being immolated to death in lava, he began dreaming of fire almost nightly. In desparation, he sought out a shamaness formerly of the Burning Fang for guidance. She revealed to him that his dreams, though triggered by his death by mental fire, were a result of his ancestry: somewhere far back in his family tree was a brass dragon. He had already developed some respect for half-orcs, due to a satisfying duel with Graashnak Vruurk and his meeting the beautiful Sdentch, and, now knowing he was not a pure-blooded orc, his outlook on other races began to change. It still takes him some effort to fight off his natural distaste for elves, but he has learned to cooperate. Under the shamaness Blurgta's guidance, he has also begun to embrace his draconic heritage and turn it into a strength.

A heavy warhorse appears, attacks the bear and hits once. The Griffon had heard the bowshot and thus is able to find Flutterthought with a single move. He attacks and tries to grapple, but misses. Verren notices the square that the griffon attacked and casts Glitterdust from scroll. Flutterthought is blinded! Verren steps away from the bear.

Uranedal isn’t the type of guy who had to work much in his life. Actually, Uranedal was lucky since he was born.
His father, Daladin, is a rich merchant lord of the gnome settlement of Redleaf, north of Gladius.
Born amongst the finest things material life has to offer, Uranedal developed high appreciation for everything which is a form of art. From precious jewels to music, from statues to tapestries, Uranedal spent a big part of his life admiring and cooperating with famous Gnome artists. Daladin encouraged this attitude of Uranedal, and he took care of inviting to his mansion every artist passing near the Readleaf small town.
When Uranedal was 40, Daladin decided to send him as an apprentice to an old wizard leaving in a small village nearby. Uranedal was far from happy with that. He liked the way of living he had up to that point. The girls, the art, the fun.. everything was there just to grab. Daladin however convinced Uranedal that he should have mastered Magic to earn a seat in Redleaf council when his father would have retired. Furthermore, he was by far the smartest among his brothers and sisters and he was the right man to become the Mayor of Redleaf in future.
The training years were the worst years in Uranedal’ life. He lived in a very essential home, the village was right in the middle of a forest and only elves could manage to find the way in or out. Thril-Galas, and old-style elf abjurer, tried to teach Uranedal his art, but Uranedal refused to embrace a single portion of Magic, unwilling to give up anything. “Why should I give up an entire school of magic when I can have all of them?”
To spend his (rare) free time while in this isolation he started sculpting the rocks he could find in the forest nearby, with the help of the local guides. Over the course of the 25 years spent learning from Thril-Galas, Uranedal mastered the art of sculpting and now he secretly dreams of having his pieces exposed in the capital’s museum.
When Uranedal finally moved back to Redleaf, he felt a bit strange. All the material things he used to love, didn’t satisfy him as much anymore (beside nice looking gnome females, obviously).
After a couple of years spent travelling around the continent to meet other fellow sculpters, he decided it was time for a different challenge. He packed his essential belongings and left toward the city of Gladius, willing to prove is valor both on the battlefield and in art galleries
Ambush: Gradak starts at 34,8 in box 3 while Uranedal starts in box 2. Gradak holds his bow and his dorje of Chameleon.
Surprise round: Gradak 5ft steps forward, if he sees anyone he will drop his bow and shoot at him (preferred Uranedal) expending focus for psionic shot. If he doesn't see anyone he will manifest chameleon and hide.
Buffing: Round 1: Drop dorje, draw stone of Force screen and manifest it. Round 2: Draw stone of defensive precognition and manifest it. Round 3: Draw stone of Offensive precognition and manifest it. Round 4: Manifest 1pp Vigor
In any case where I see an opponent (including familiars) switch to combat plan
Combat: When I see Urenadal or Gunnor snipe them. Continue this till they go down. If they happen to spot me try to break LoS hide again and continue sniping. If they are moving around the arena 5ft step back into the L shaped obstacle to buy some time and continue sniping.
At any time when there is a familiar going my way shoot it.
If he gives me the opportunity to heal do so with the wand (preferred to full health but focus on archery and hiding)
Not an easy fight for Uranedal. I have only one slight chance of success and I hope that it will work. Let's show 'em what cantrips can do!
Setup Uranedal will be ambushed, so Gradak will know where I am and will have a surprise round to get closer or buff. Still, he shouldn't be able to reach me in a single round.
Uranedal will start with 1 Mirror Image scroll [CL 3] and a partially used Buffing scroll (( Mage Armor [CL 1], Reduce Person [CL 1], Expeditious Retreat [CL 1])) in hand. Gunnor will borrow the Magic Missile Wand [CL 5] from Uranedal. He is also told to move where he will see the bats.
First rounds Round 1) Gunnor will reduce himself from memory [CL 1]. Uranedal will simply go Invisible from memory [CL 5] Round 2) Gunnor will hide himself and get ready to MM the hell out of Gradak. Uranedal will simply cast Expeditious Retreat [CL 1] from his partially used Buffing scroll then he will move away from Gradak (if he gets a clue of where the halfling is). Round 3) Uranedal proceeds buffing with Mirror Image from scroll [CL 3], then he draws 1 Entangling scroll ((Web [CL 3],Summon Swarm [CL 3])) Round 4) Uranedal casts Detect Magic from memory. This is the little dirty trick which should make Gradak visible. Uranedal will spend his next rounds looking for Gradak in this way. Obviously if he spotted Gradak for some other reason ignore this step.
When the halfling is found.. .. tie him to the ground.
Wait to have him inside or close to a pillar formation, then cast Web from scroll [CL 3]. Follow suit with a summon swarm spell [CL 3] (bat swarm). Once the swarm is summoned simply hold concentration and avoid being shoot. The Web should be enough to keep Gradak from pursuing me. Should he manage to escape keep moving towards Gunnor so he'll be welcomed by MMs.
The Bat Swarm simply cannot be defeated by Gradak. He can delay them with a PfE potion, but after 10 rounds he is toasted. I don't think I need LoE to hold concentration, so make sure to break LoS with him and move away holding concentration indefinitely.
Gunnor will cautiosly move where he can see the Bat Swarm and strike with Magic Missile.
Bats have blindsense, so no hiding can foil them. They are also immune to weapon damage.
Contingencies - Wait a chance to web him before losing invisibility - Should he fire arrows on me break LoS and try to avoid being shoot. - Bat Swarm is a good option even if I cannot web him. Should I have problems webbing him have Lisca jump out of my backpack and "lead" the swarm to Gradak. (which means that I'll cast the Swarm close to Lisca, but not enough to reach it. Then Lisca will run closer to Gradak, effectively "leading" the mindless thing to him)

-- Just noticed the prison post. Have Gunnor start with a borrowed Greataxe and a tanglefoot bag as well in hand. He'll drop both to the ground on the first round. He will also have another one along with him, but without dropping it to the ground.
This will cut Uranedal's weight to 17 lbs, giving him 20 ft speed.
Gradak has lost sight of his opponents. Back to buffing. Gradak drops dorjes & draws stone of force screen & manifests it. Uranedal casts detect magic from memory.
Gradak decides to move to inside of L pillar in order to avoid being spotted in case Uranedal & his cohort are patrolling around the arena. Uranedal moves forward & detect a magical aura in his cone, then almost bumps into gradak himself. Still doesn't autospot though.
Gradak is waiting... Uranedal moves & casts web from scroll. Gradak saves vs web, so he is entangled.
Round 11:
Gradak is unlikely to get out of the web and he knows it- even if he gets out of the web, rehiding will be difficult. He decides to just try and shoot it out with the wizard. crit miss. Uranedal starts summoning a bat swarm. Gunner runs out towards the action.

I'm calling this. I don't believe Gradak can safely get away from the bat swarm while still advancing on Uranedal and avoiding the cohort with the magic missile wand at the same time. It will be a long drawn out fight, though- and I don't like wasting my time.

Eland is not someone who likes to talk about his past.
There are really too much bad things which happened to him over his first forty years of life. Still a young person for his race standards he moved to Gladius only recently.
The main reason why he moved there are money. He knows Gladius it’s a rich and wealthy town. Many adventurers lives there and he often dreams about robbing a few of them of their precious magic items.
He smiles when he think about Raegin. What would his brother say? Raised by Pelor priests after Eland’s family was kidnapped and tortured by a drow band he had always tried to convert Eland to the good side of life.
Eland simply refuses to have such an optimistic view of life. He believes that kindness, piety, mercy, and all feelings in general are just signs of weakness.
He likes to meet Raegin from time to time, though. He miss his brother, even if he would never admit it.
Eland's thrive for money is surpassed only by his desire of revenge against the drows. He knows they are still alive, and he made an oath to find and kill them to the last men.
In the last few months spent in Gladius he met Morro Earthshaker while involved in shady businesses with an entity known as The Slaver. Unfortunately for Eland he failed to complete the mission he had been assigned and ended enslaved with Morro.

Well - the open arena makes this fight near impossible for the orcs. Start off buffing with Shield of faith for each and force screen for the fighters. Everyone will have a cold iron javelin in hand; the cleric his crossbow loaded with a cold iron bolt.
After shield of fatih, the cleric will buff with bless for everyone, and then they will move out, readying to throw on hearing the opponent. The cleric will ready to cast invisibility purge on hearing her within 40ft of him.
Pretty much only attack when a listen check is successful. If they are having particular trouble, use SMIV for 1d3 Fiendish Dire bats.
Use chaos hammer and both sound bursts if an area is known.
If bag of tricks animals emerge - attack them with falchions in melee.
Not too many things this could be, but all are customizable enough that writing tactics is going to be tough.
Start with bag of tricks in hand.
1) Pop an animal next to me and fly straight up. 2) Order it to seek and manifest Escape Detection. 3-5) Draw my shortsword while following the animal at ceiling level, and manifest Defensive Precognition (4 PP), Inertial Armor (1 PP), and Force Screen (1 PP).
Observe the animal a while from a distance. I want to see what the enemies do to it before I commit to a plan of attack.
A) If the enemies are using Protection from Evil and ignoring the animal, get a little closer and manifest a 5-PP Astral Construct with the Buff special to be my guinea pig. B) If the enemies are flying and ignoring the animal, make it a 5-PP Astral Construct with the Fly special. C) If they engage the animal (or, following "A", Astral Construct) with spells, excellent--spam 3-PP ACs with the Trip special, replace the animal if it dies or is incapacitated, and stay clear while they do my dirty work. D) If they engage the animal (or, following "A" or "B" , Astral Construct) with melee attacks, my strategy will be a ranged assault with Psionic Shot. Keep my distance as much as possible, snipe when feasible, move at half speed when feasible (though keeping distance is more important). Make the first, fifth, and subsequent shots Psionic Shots, but not the 2nd-4th. Those are my experimental shots to check for DR (unless my animal already revealed such). If I hit and it seems to deal no damage, go through my silver arrows before my steel ones, and start using Psionic Shot immediately. If all shots seem to do damage, then I can supplement my archery with Psionic Shot Energy Pushes (electric), knocking them into the ground (or, if flying, a nearby obstacle) for the extra damage. If they're not flying, go ahead and replace animals, it will help distract them if nothing else.
Contingencies/key points: - Conceal all displays, of course. - Always save 1 PP for Psionic Shot. - Regardless of which attack plan I follow, lead with Entangle SLA if they're on the ground. Place one or two of them on the edge so my animal/ACs can reach. - If injured at all, manifest 5-PP Vigor and forget Energy Push. Save my PP for more Vigor. - If I run out of arrows: If my enemies are flying, attempt dispels on them. Then go through my whole Bag of Tricks, and blow all PP but 1 on 3-PP Astral Constructs (with Fly if there's a flying opponent, with Trip otherwise). If there's one enemy left and it doesn't have DR, use my stone of Matter Agitation and just keep concentrating. And if all that fails, go with Psionic Shot Crystal Shards from my dorje.
That's about it. As always with a pixie, the most important thing is to keep out of harm's way. And as always with monster fights (especially ones with NPCs), feel free to use expendables if they have an obvious application to the situation (e.g. Touchsight vs. invis or Mirror Image). To take advantage of this small map, Max will play this one more aggressively this time. He starts of closest to the center of the map with potions of protection vs good and dorje of Vigor in hands.
Round 1: Max manifests a 5+2pp Astral Construct with Muscle, Celerity & trip(exchange 1 type B ability for 2 type A abilities). Round 2: Max sends the Construct to find and kill Mineau and immediately creates a second identical one. Round 3: Max sends the second construct after the first. He drinks the potion and moves out behind the constructs. Round 4: Max uses the dorje and continues to move forward.
The plan is that theose two constructs should do the work.
If Mineau dispels or kills both constructs, create another one. If it seems really necessary use a targeted 5+2pp dispel psionics on him.(Your call, but I would rather save the pp) Refresh Vigor if necessary. If none of these apply, use aid another on a construct for its attack.

Vallgar is the son of the reputable noble Lord Feranor in Norderstahl. Although a black sheep of the family, he was always well liked by his father until he hit his age of apprenticeship. Apprenticed under the venerable Soki Yan Foral, Vallgar eagerly learned as much as he could about the magical arts.
Vallgar's fascination with death and the necromantic arts emerged at this time. His love of the undead and watching people torture became an obsession to him and it was not long after this that his noble family turned away from him, at the advice of Soki - who saw Vallgar's evil tendencies for what they were. A poison.
Vallgar left Norderstahl in order to find his own way. Stripped of his family ties, and finished with his training - he arrives in Gladius with a skeletal minion by his side - the remains of a former knight desecrated for his own purposes.
Although not outright insane, Vallgar is well known to engage in lively conversations with his silent companion and this has earned him the monicker of "Unhinged." No one in Gladius knows of his ties to nobility in another land, and he doesn't give any indication of it outwardly.

So long as I am a medium creature while blacklight is in effect, he has a blanket 3/4 chance of missing me before concealment. This is because when blacklight gets projected, it originates from a corner of my square. Since I'm flying- that corner could be of one of four squares. So unless he can pinpoint me otherwise, I get pretty insane defenses here. Even once he has found me, I can rotate in space or whatever to switch up which corner the blacklight originates from & move.
If I was a large creature it would just originate from the center of me. Not nearly as confusing

Move out at 20 ft altitude(draw guisarme) I will fly towards the center, but if I don't see him in the center[my 90' darkvision makes it simple to scope out the entire area], start scouting out the nooks and crannies of the map. During this phase, always move 60 ft then ready to cast blacklight on him coming into view. If I take my move & he is in view, cast blacklight.

Now for him to manifest or cast anything I believe he'll have to do so defensively & make a concentration check for casting in a distrating non-damaging spell[at least I think being in total darkness would be distracting] Note that he can't take 5' steps because being blinded makes him move at half speed. [at least I'm pretty sure blind folks can't take 5' steps]
Now he'll either try to retreat or just make due in the blacklight. If he retreats, attempt to charge after him again with full power attack. If I can't charge, move+attack with full power attack. Continue with this.
If blacklight will expire next round, refresh it. If a second blacklight is going to expire, draw scroll of blacklight & cast it. If all three blacklights are going down, cast Web so there are 20 ft of webs between us[total cover], then cast stinking cloud in the web. (or just stinking cloud if web is impossible) Try to make it so he is 10 ft from the outside of the web- I'd like to be able to attack him with my guisarme.
Stinking cloud tactics:
If he moves out of the cloud, move to base & draw true strike wand, cast true strike. Next round drop the guisearme & full power attack with battleaxe.
If he's in the web/stink & I can melee him, use the appropriate weapon & melee him. Draw true strike wand, cast true strike. Stow true strike wand, full power attack. Rinse, repeat.
If everything falls[3 blacklights, he's in web & can manifest/cast at me], draw scroll of rope trick & cast it, 10 ft up & in view of him. Climb up it, then shoot arrows out of the rope trick at him. He can't cast spells back, so his only recourse is to shoot his bow back. There are 8 spaces in the rope trick, all within reach of the window- so even if he uses true strike he has only a 1/8 chance to hit me. Keep this up for all 10 rounds possible, then come out of it, cast magic missile, & move to total cover. Cast enlarge person from memory, then go back to the web & grapple him to death.
Whew. I really hope you don't have to use all these tactics...

Addendum/Change for Thorell tactics After The initial dive attack, attack unarmed with -3 power attacks doing subdual damage. That should help bypass any vigor/share pain combo he has. [subdual isn't hp damage & I don't believe it is shared] [this replaces the guisearme/battelaxe attacks unless reach is needed for some reason. I don't need to drop anything to do this, since I can just kick him or whatever.

Synopsis Well, he's a heavy hitter and prefers melee - let's see if i can avoid that. His reflex save is worst of them, so all powers will be electricity to have a better chance of him not making the save and of outsmarting his probable energy resistance.
Setup& Buffs Start in front of my box, with scroll of mage armor in hands, kiki will be on shoulder the whole fight. R1: cast mage armor from scroll, draw scroll of levitate. R2: cast expeditious retreat from memory, move out. R3: cast levitate from scroll, move, draw dorje of vigor on the way. R4: manifest force screen (1pp), move out R5: use dorje, stow
Movement General plan: i want to escape him over the roofs, so he has no mount available and has to fly. Secondary plan: i want to stay out of bright light so i can hide till the first attack. (so search a spot near the center, but where the lights are not completely lighting it - i want concealment) Levitate movement on the roofs: by my reading of the spell, i could use levitate to move at half speed without making balance checks on the roof, but i would incur attack penalties as given in the spell description. If i get to unstable, take a 5ft step over the border and levitate down to earth to stabilize, this is quicker than taking the full round action to do so. Levitate back up next round. Web: keep away from any fixed points if possible
