I just wanted to say that made me laugh. I enjoy many of the posts in the games that I read here and there, but that's the first time I think I actually laughed out loud. Well done, sir. Well done. I'll try to put up a reply later this evening or tomorrow.

Alek cautiously approaches the gathering group. "Good day everyone."Alek says to those gathered as he bows slightly. "My name is Alek. I too am interested in knowing more about this Faringray"

Alek notes the crispness and cleanness of Mendabar and wonders if this man as ever suffered the rigors of wilderness.

Ander (Seeks)]"We're not setting off to pick someone's garden, I hope?"

Mendabar gives a quick grin. "We are meeting in a field... and I've heard the vampiric rabbits are particularly dangerous this year."[ wrote:

When the halfling mentioned the garden, Mikal was taken aback initially. He was very good with names and faces. He had to be because a bard never knew whose actions could make for a grand story. Unfortunately, he didn't recognize the name of Ander nor the halfling's face. Then it came to him, and Mikal’s smile grew even wider though it didn’t seem possible before.

A fan, indeed, though one that delights in sarcasm. Still, a fan is a fan regardless of his station in life.

Clearly, you are familiar with my previous accomplishments regarding the mayor’s garden. It’s always a pleasure to meet a fan. Mikal’s voice took on a somewhat patronizing tone while still seeming quite genuine.

As for Faringray, well, I don’t know him personally, though I’ve heard he is fond of my performances too, Ander. I’m sure you could guess quite well what kind of man he is since he is charged with protecting our region as he sees fit.

Mikal then stiffened his body and did an abrupt turn, doing his best to mimic soldiers’ movements. Onward friends! Adventure awaits! Mikal lifted his hand to signal the charge and began marching forward.

Is this even the correct way? Which way was I facing?

Ander groans painfully, lowering his head and burying his face in the palm of his hand.

Great, two of them. Vampyric rabbits? Mayor's garden? Eck.

He finishes reeling from the pain and offers a forced grin, "Yes, onwards. I'm sure there are a lot of... important things that need to be taken care of."

Uhm...Mikal was it, why are you heading east when we were instructed by the Captain to head west. Alek says as Mikal begins to walk in the opposite direction of the rest of the group. He points in the correct direction and tries to hard to muffle his laugh. Alek's stomach begins to churn. He hopes no one else can tell that he is nervous.

OCC: sorry arsaga, but you did leave an opening.

Rightly so. By the way, I'm not sure if everyone read the intros, but Mikal helped find out who ruined the mayor's garden by adding their own very personal fertilizer, and I just think it's funny that it actually came up outside of his intro.

Jonn presents himself as well as a fellow adventurer and follows those talking.

He is fairly common, at 5'8'' and 125lb, short brown hair and hazel eyes. He would pass as a common town man if it weren't for the strange glint that occasionaly shows on his eyes, as if some dormant power lurked deep within him.

He tries not to gather much attention but can't stop a grin at the rather playful nature of the people traveling with him.

You guys are silly. General reminder to everyone: Please use Blue for any dialog and Silver, one of the Grays, or SBLOCKs for OOC conversation. If you speak another language, you could use another color. Red is a DM-only color.

And now we continue some more . . .

As you get to know each other, you continue to march west through the rain and fog. A short ferry ride brings you to the western shore of the Nentir River. You march along a muddy road past farmers' dwellings until you see an open field of tilled earth and thicker mud. In the middle of the field scream a dozen militia recruits. They attack one another with wild abandon, swinging wooden swords and shields. Watching them with dismay is a cloaked man on horseback. Near him, standing in a puddle by the road, is a dour dwarf smoking on a pipe. Rain pours off his wide-brimmed hat.

Snorting in disgust, the mounted soldier squints through the fog as you approach. "Good, it looks like some of you have received my letters. I'm Captain Faringray of the Fallcrest Guard." He is a handsome man in early middle age, still vigorous--though pessimistic about his new recruits. Pointing at his companion, he says, "This is Sorik Orvash of Hammerfast, a stonemason." The captain remains on horseback, likely to avoid muddying his boots any further.

He pauses, looking at the newcomers expectantly.
