Myst / Aka - If you two want to take all the liberties you want and pot what you do with the Scatha and Anvil and what not.

Then give me some Gather Info checks and plans for searching for Lucan.

I'll have more time Monday to get things going again.

GlassGEO - feel free to assume your in the city and do your own exploration. Basically your char is working for similar reasons so assume your i the game and searching for Lucan also if you want to start posting.

Welcome GlassGEO!

Reading? I wish! I’m going to be insanely busy through the end of the month and right now am just hanging on by the tips of my fingers. Drat RL anyway! :fight!: I will get to it, I promise! Just keep asking me.

Kerrisa gives the guard a tired but charming smile, letting Larulia do the talking. After they get directions to the temple she lets her shoulders slump back down, trudging down the street in a final march with her newly discovered cousin, Scatha. The walk seems to take forever and she’s grateful to hold Anvil’s hand on the way, drawing comfort from the warforged despite his condition.

The priests seem kind and they appear grateful as they take Scatha’s body away. There isn’t much to do except stand around after that and soon Kali finds herself walking down the street with Larulia and Anvil. “I’ve been doing some thinking about Anvil here,” she says to Larulia. “I think he would be better off back with Lady Elaydren. She will know how to heal him. We can bring him along, but it may take me some time to heal him. My dragonmark has only recently appeared and as such it is not yet as powerful as many in my House. I can only use it once a day before the power is drained, though it itches like it did before it appeared.” She hopes that means it is going to grow in power. She understands what that means and the responsibility and power it brings within the family, though that isn’t her reasoning. If her dragonmark were more powerful she would have been able to fix Anvil. Instead he is walking around like a feeble child and there doesn’t seem to be much she can do about it.

She looks to Larulia to see what the half elven woman thinks.

I'll roll once we decide what to do with Anvil. (I'm trying to buy time to catch up before this game takes off again.)

I figured we'd stick a postage stamp on his head an mail him to Lady E. . Is she somewhere in Sharn?

"Whatever you think is best." Larullia replies softly to Kalandra with a smile. "I am not familiar with the nature of the warforged. Perhaps we should see him to Cannith ourselves." Larullia listens to Kalandra's talk about her dragonmark. The talk of the Houses can't help but make her think about hers, and wonder, not for the first time, why fate decided she would manifest a mark other than her mother's. She forces the thoughts out of her mind before she thinks too much into the implications of an abberant member in a truemarked house.

Part of me laments not going for a truemarked, but it makes for interesting RP .

After delivering Scatha's body to the Temple of the Silver Flame and saying your final good byes to her you head back out on the town with more questions weighing heavily upon you.

Your initial attempts to gather info turn little up but you do find leads. When you ask about the word Krell to yet another person he responds by spelling the it out K-R-E-L-L, you say? Well there 's an Aundarian diplomant here, goes by the name of Neya ir' Krell. There's some sort of high society function at the Aundairian embassy tonight."

You also learn that many important people will be in town. Perhaps even members of House Cannith.

Note: "Krell" was an important clue that I don't even remember giving you. I'm not sure if you got it or not and if you did it was months ago before our long delay.

Kali. Let me get that roll from you. If you can find the House cannith people you can give Anvil to them. More soon.

History: The son of woman of ill repute, and quickly cast out after his unusual birth, Hadras never knew his mother or his father. Instead, he was raised in the austere trappings of a small orphanage in Dura, just one of many in Sharn. His odd hand (with his symbiont gauntlet) marked his as different from the other children, resulting in him being singled out for punishment more often then not. Unsurprisingly, he ran away from the place at age seven.

Life on the streets proved harder than the boy dreamed it would be, but he managed to get by. His unusual heritage proved more a boon than a hindrance, allowing him to defend himself against older street children, and Hadras carved a rough life out for himself amongst the gutters and streets of lower Sharn. It wasn't much, but he'd never had any reason to expect better.

All that changed nine years ago. While sifting through refuse in one of Sharn's innumerable gutters Hadras witnessed several toughs laying an ambush for a shifter he'd seen around the streets. On a whim, the boy decided to warn the shifter, and even helped in the subsequent fight. Taken with the odd boy, the shifter, an inquisitive named Tavik Wren, apprenticed Hadras.

Charmed by the prospect of regular meals and a warm bed, Hadras eagerly studied under the shifter. Tavik taught the boy everything he knew: contacts and clues, refined practices of combat and defense (the boys odd claws proved not all that different than Tavik's own shifter heritage), and all the little things that inquisitives learn to watch for as part of their trade. For his part, Hadras found he had both a talent for the work and a true enjoyment of it. Together Tavik and Hadras were able to take on more cases and business was good.

Two years ago, well into his sixties, Tavik retired, comforted by the knowledge that the business was well in hand. Hadras has taken up the work well, though he's had to consult his ersatz father a few times on more difficult cases. Wren and Moon investigations (he kept Tavik's name on the business) has developed a reputation for discretion and effectiveness that has carried into some of the wealthier houses in the City of Towers. A few days ago, contacted by an anonymous party, Hadras was contracted to track down Lucan and make sure the ex-Lantern remained silent about some of his dealings in the city. He's been on the man's trail since.

Personality: Hadras is a friendly man with soft spot for orphans and an innate sense of morality reinforced by his foster father. He remains grateful for the life the old shifter gave him, and idolizes Tavik a bit, but the skills and attitude he learned in his apprenticeship have served him well. Hadras is a consummate professional, dedicated to carrying his contracts through to the finish, just like Tavik was before him.

Appearance: Hadras is tall, but not overly so, with a solid build and serviceable clothing and gear. He is pale, a bit more than seems normal, with light blond hair and dark hazel eyes. His symbionts give him the appearance of wearing two form fitting clawed gauntlets, and if asked, he passes them off as covering a bad skin condition. He generally wears a great coat to cover all the weapons and gear he wears.

Nivek: I don’t have Krell down in my notes anywhere.

Belabras: Welcome!! I had no idea you were joining us. This is going to excellent!

Kalandra, still grieving, does her best to put on a smile and wipe the tear stains from her face. She looks around. “We should probably find an inn, get a room and get cleaned up. No one will want to answer any of our questions with us looking so road weary and footsore. Where do you think he and his fiend of a sister will have gone? Once we figure out what to do with poor Anvil here we should try to find out if they stopped here or if they continued on.” She keeps her voice low and refrains from using names. She wouldn’t be surprised to discover their conversation was being spied upon. She often would go and hang out at the marketplace or other public areas in Sharn, picking up her next story for the Chronicle from what she overheard from the crowd. All she had to do was listen for key words and when she heard them, begin paying attention to that particular person or group. She doesn’t plan to do that here, giving someone else the advantage they need.

“I think you’re right, we should visit the enclave for House Cannith and see what they can do to help Anvil. If they can’t do anything for him, they might be able to make sure he gets back to Lady E.” She looks down at where the signet ring is on the finger of her left hand, hidden beneath the blue gloves. It will ensure they at least get through the front door and are not immediately dismissed out of hand. She cannot see it but knows that if she could she would see the golden arcane mark in the center gem that marks her as a true heir of House Cannith. The dragonmark on her left shoulder blade also proves her a true heir of the House. Between the two, House ring and dragonmark, she knows wherever she goes she will always have a place where she belongs. There is comfort and safety in that knowledge.

She looks over at Larulia, realizing she’s actually repeating the same things the half elven sorceress has already suggested. “My apologies, my thoughts seem to be wandering all over the place. I just need to clean up and get the road grime off and I’ll be fine,” she reassures her. “We’ll also need to stable the horses.” Her thoughts remain a bit disorganized for the time being.

Gather Information = {16} Wow, Invisible Castle is really giving everyone a lot of crummy rolls these past several days. :P
Action Point = {4} + 16 = 20
Myst: Do you want to question any vendors or shopkeepers about Lucan and Grilsha or do you want to start with the inn and stick to places where alcohol is served?

Kali and Larulia
The two of you continue to seek answers and solve problems. Kali turns up nothing more than Larulia did. Together they continue through the city until they come to an Inn that also a stable around the back for the horses.

After getting rooms and leaving the horses in good hands you decide to take some time for yourselves to clean up and figure out what to do next.

Once you feel you look more presentable you get directions to the House Cannith Enclave. This seems like the next step so you head there with Anvil and hopes that things will go well.

Grodric and Hadras
The two of you are both seeking your own answers in the city. Your quest for information have lead you down many a winding road. Countless of those have the watery canals that run along side the foot paths. From time to time a small boat makes it's way up the channels.

Each of you find yourselves walking down the street towards each other. As thoughts fill your heads about the intentions of the other your both interrupted by watching two Sahuagin slip from the shadowy waters and attack two others in one of the shady side roads.

As the two of you rush to help the men you watch the Sahuagin assassins finish them off with little effort. As you advance they spot you and turn to defend themselves.

Roll Init Please
If you beat a 12 you may post round 1 actions.
Welcome to the game

Hadras' init 1d20+4=24.... I think that's more than 12.

Thanks for the welcome Aka. It's good to be back :D

Hadras eyes the dwarf warily but can't ignore the actions of the sahuagin. He moves to cut the aquatic creatures off and shouts "By the laws of Galifar I command you to stop!" As he acts he thinks "If the guard here is anything like Sharn's, I really hope these two come quietly."

Grodric thinks little of the man in the coat walking in his direction, until the Sahaugin dispatch of the two men. His heavy armor, and the near unatural speed of the other man give him little opportunity to react with any thought of speed.

As the man calls out, proclaiming the laws of Galifar, Grodric's tensed muscles relax slightly. Two sahaugin don't worry him terribly, especially with a helpful, law abiding, dutiful stranger present.

"I'd listen if'n I were you, muck crawlers. I may be far from home, but ah can't imagine that murder be on Trollanport's list of approved recreational activty."

The solidly built dwarf, readies his shield and begins reaching for the hefty axe at his side. To any onlookers, it might seem as though a small iron golem were readying himself for battle.
