I'm going to be having less reliable access to the internet in days to come. In light of this, and the fact that the game has been moving so slowly for months now, even by PbP standards, does anyone think it's worth it to continue? If someone else wants to GM, let me know and I'd be willing to help. Otherwise, I don't think this is going to work, at least not at a rate at which I'm comfortable running it.

Unfortuneately I have to agree with you. I wanted the game to be successful but things just are not moving forward. It appears many of the players are not really posting much. I find that this pace also keeps me from feeling invested in the game because there are such long pauses between action.
I'm really sorry about this MarthWMaster. I know it isn't easy to GM a game, and it must be especially frustrating when the players are not around.

Bummer. I feel your pain Marth. This makes the 5th SW game I have tried to play in and so far the players or once or twice the DM's just up and abandon them. It is most frustrating, but I agree this thread is dead.
If you ever get the time and energy to try again, please give me a buzz as I am still interested in playing Star Wars.
Wash: "Yeah well, if she doesn't give us some extra flow from the engine room to offset the burn through, this landing is gonna get pretty interesting."
Mal: "Define interesting."
Wash: "Oh god oh god we're all gonna die?"
Mal: "This is the captain. We have a...little problem with our engine sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then...explode."
