Actually, I think the 'small talk' part was to his contact, not Sykes or whoever else talks to him, since he mentions waiting for us after that. If that is what you intended, redknight, go ahead and post, and I'll edit in my response to this post.

Turning towards Sykes, Ahh, one of the butterflies now. Stepping out from the ally, the child begins to speak, his voice returning to that of his childlike form. “Not much really, but I may have a name. Clid, or perhaps Crid, my informant was unsure on the inflection. Kindred, apparent age in his late teens, but with…” taking a moment to reflect on the description. “well, the word given to me was, ‘caveman’ visage searching for relics, among other things.”
As for the Nictuku….they don’t need to know just yet. Secrets of the Tremere remain with the Tremere, until the elders decide otherwise.

Noting the departure of the warlock Eric and Sykes a few minutes later. With a nod towards the door she says to Karianna, Looks like the boys are up to something. Shall we?
Chastened and reminded of her inexperience Lauren defers to the Malkavian.

People can make some rolls for Intelligence + Politics to recall who this Clid person is. If you get at least two responses you know the following; if you get more I'll give you some special holiday-wrapped extra information. Who's Who

Clid... Clid... After a few minutes you make the connection: The Tremere is probably talking about Krid, the Nosferatu courier. He's not as flat-out ugly as most Sewer Rats, though "caveman" is being a bit generous. He works as a go-between then on the clan's behalf and was an excellent runner between Camarilla forces in the Battle of New York. Like most of the cannon fodder from that battle, he was quickly forgotten afterwards and sank quietly into obscurity.

“It would seem that this, Krid, has been searching for relics and rumor. Things from nights long past. As I have said, it may be nothing, but it may lead to something…more.” Taking out his cell again, and beginning to type a brief note, Text Msg

Sire, Nictuku being searched for, may be involved in killings. Please advise. Snapping the cell shut, turning towards the Childe of Malkov. “Unless there are any objections, or other leads, I would suggest we pay this ‘Krid’ a visit”

Lauren decides that she's not gonna sweat the details. She's a hunter but she's used to knowing who and what the target is. With so many details still unknown she feels a little over her head.
Is this 'Krid' going to welcome a social call? Or should we be ready to duck after knocking on the door?

Sykes' face and voice turn to his usual business mask, not unlike a good poker face. It's hard to really sense any emotion in either his face or his words. Just simple facts and honest questions.
"Well, that's really our second worry. Our first is finding said door. Now, if I remember right, Krid's been running errands for 'Uncle Smelly'. So, finding Smelly sounds like a good place to start for finding our little Krid."
He pauses, and looks around at the faces of his fellows at this point.
"Unfortunately, Sewer Rats don't tend to make themselves open books. I think it'll be a challenge to find either of them, regardless.
What do you guys think?"
