Has the set list been published (or spoiled) yet? It's probably a safe bet that Mustangs will be here, but will we have slower planes like the Ju-87 Stuka and Dauntless?

No official set list yet. There have been many hints from WOTC with info from blogs, game demos, the catalog, box art, Axis & Allies ForumMini site conjecture and the opening salvos.
No Stuka, all aircraft have retractable landing gears. No Dauntless, as all aircraft are fighters. Although the Bf-110 was not much of a fighter.
US - P-40, P-51, F4F UK - Hurricane, Spitfire, Typhoon Germany - FW-190A, Bf-109E, Bf-110 Rumors are that there will be a Bf-109F and a Bf-109G Japan - Zero, Tony France - MS 406 Italy - C.202 Folgore and supposedly another aircraft Soviet Union - Yak-1, I-16, Tomahawk II, and ? China - P-40 Flying Tiger, I-16 Finland - MS 406?
Hopefully we will have something official before the release date.

All quiet on those two. There is a rumor that the next set theme will be the battle in the Pacific, so maybe the F4U will be in set II.

The next set is Pacific themed. Lots of cool American & Japanese planes. Of course there will also be numerous European theatre planes.

Any Chance of sneaking an Aussie aircraft in there? may be Kittyhawks of 75 Squadron Milne bay? Or even Clive Cauldwells Spitty in Darwin 43.
Dare i say IAR81?

M2AO,
We are speculating on the Underground about the AAM cards that will be in the starter set and are wondering a few things.
In A20 there are levels of pilot skill. Will these skill levels translate into the AAM Cards?
Will the existing cards require revisions?
As far as we know so far we have, Bf 109 e's, f's and G's. Will these be one generic AAM card or three slightly different cards?
Cheers Ober
The potentcy of the 88 was that it was present, in reasonable numbers, when it was needed, They had them. We did not. And anything an enemy has which makes life unpleasant for you tends to earn a larger-than-life reputation. Ian Hogg A&A UndergroundAAM Database

Yes and no. If the plane already existed in AAM, I didn't make any changes to the stats. With that said if there was a normal version of a plane and an Ace version of the plane there are differences. There are different stat lines for each unit in the set. So regarding the 109 there is a 109E Ace, 109E Wingman, 109F, and a 109G Ace
Here is a good example: The Bf 109E:
Bf 109E Wingman GE 1939 Cost:14 Def: 4 AI 8/6/- AV 4/3/- Aircraft; Antiair
Bf109E Ace GE 1939 Cost: 17 Def: 4 AI 9/7/- AV 4/3/- Aircraft; Ace; Steely Resolve 2
There might be a few planes here or there that differ slightly from the orginial AAM version. Any difference is minor though.
The AAM stats are on page 37 of the rulebook. There were a few typos that made it into the book. Of course you can play the units as printed. Here is a list of corrections I would make if you want to play the planes as I intended them to be statted out.
A6M2 Zero Ace - reduce Defense to 3
P-40C Flying Tiger - change nation to China
Typhoon Interceptor - reduce cost to 16, remove Rockets 8 (this is an early version of the Typhoon, the Typhoon in set 2 will have Rockets 8)

Thank you. Thats very interesting and I must say I am looking forward to the release for both AAM and the stand alone game A20.
I assume you will be able to release the full set list on the eve of the release?
Cheers Ober
