Since there is only one forum for all of the Axis & Allies board games, there is a potential for a lot of confusion when questions are asked about the rules of those games. In order to reduce that confusion and allow your questions to be answered correctly, please follow these guidelines:
- Please clearly indicate which game your question pertains to, preferably in the thread title (e.g. "Question About Subs in Anniversary Edition" or "AA50 Sub Question"). If your question is about a variant ruleset rather than the official one, such as LHTR or AARe, please indicate that fact. Here is a list of commonly used abbreviations for A&A game titles:
- Axis & Allies (1984 MB version) - "AA" or "Classic"
- Axis & Allies (2004 AH version) - "AAR" or "Revised"
- Larry Harris Tournament Rules (AAR variant) - "LHTR"
- Axis & Allies Revised Enhanced (AAR variant) - "AARe"
- Axis & Allies Europe - "AAE" or "Classic Europe"
- Axis & Allies Pacific - "AAP" or "Classic Pacific"
- Axis & Allies D-Day - "AAD" or "D-Day"
- Axis & Allies Battle of the Bulge - "AAB", "AABoB", "Bulge" or "Battle of the Bulge"
- Axis & Allies Guadalcanal - "AAG" or "Guadalcanal"
- Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition - "AA50", "Anniversary" or "Anniversary Edition"
- Axis & Allies 1942 Edition - "AA42"
- Axis & Allies Pacific 1940 - "AAP40" or "Pacific 40"
- Axis & Allies Europe 1940 - "AAE40" or "Europe 40"
- Axis & Allies 1940 - "AA40", "Combined 40" or "Global 40"
- Please make your thread title as specific as possible. Titles like "AAR Question" won't help you find a specific question if you want to refer back to the answer later.
- Please don't piggyback new questions onto an existing thread unless the new question is an extension of the existing one. If it's a new topic, start a new thread, especially if it concerns a different game.
Following these guidelines will cut down on confusion and help to create a useful archive of questions and answers both for you and for future forum users. This will enhance this forum for everyone. Thanks for your cooperation!
