I ran into this scenario earlier while running Adventure 7 of CR. I had 1 of each of the 10 monsters in play. As per the rule, if I draw a monster card similar to what I already have, I have to discard it and draw a new one until I don't get a duplicate. Is there a ruling that addresses this loop hole?

First, a few questions:
1) How did you spawn so many monsters without killing them? 2) Were you playing alone? 3) If not, how did one person spawn 10 monsters without one of them getting killed?

Adventure 7 of Castle Ravenloft is a solo player scenario in which you'll (possibly) get to play with all the heroes one after the other. There will come a point where your current hero is overwhelmed by a number of monsters, especially if you sprung the trap that puts one monster every turn (in addition to what you'll regulary spawn by exploring further), so having a lot of monsters on the board is really a possibility in this scenario. In fact, I believe I've read a review from years ago regarding the same exact scenario but there were no official ruling used to address the dilemma.
