There's something to be said for tolerance, too: it means you can enjoy more longer. As I've gotten older my tolerance for peeps with no tolerance has waned somewhat. I like drinkin' with peeps what can keep up. The party ain't no fun if you're the only one left awake ... er, unless you're a certain Quebeccer we know.

So I drink less then you. If you only have fun if I'm matching you shot for shot, beer for bear, weird-made-up-drink for weird-made-up-drink, then you have an awful [smear the _____] way of being a social drinker.

So I drink less then you. If you only have fun if I'm matching you shot for shot, beer for bear, weird-made-up-drink for weird-made-up-drink, then you have an awful [smear the _____] way of being a social drinker.
Meh, it's my experience that the lightweights tend to bail early. I find that (on occasion) lame. I guess it's more 'stick around' than 'drink yourself sick'.

I know my limits; were I to go drinking with you, I'd probably stick with a drink or two per hour, and drink soda the rest of the time. I don't mind bars, so long as they're not playing music at eardrum-shattering levels; I prefer conversation to mind-numbing noise.

I agree with ya on all counts. Though is it pretty fun to get completely hammered with some pals, too - so long as ya have a ride. I don't drive even if I'm only having a few drinks. Just bad ju ju, yanno?
