Coppernight Hold Adventures ( PC Level 1 )
Mostly, straight forward combat & noncombat encounters with basic adventure storyline.

Kavalar Coppernight, a dwarf prospector, led a couple of dozen volunteers in a quest for rich veins of ore. Several months ago, they began underground mining operations, as well as a surface excavation for a small keep. Hearing of this development, the Mayor of Fallcrest sent two veteran militia members to investigate. They should have returned two days ago, and the mayor is growing anxious.
It has been rumored that shortly after the militia soldiers set off, a white dragon wyrmling and her kobold followers struck the building site. They say the assault against the Dwarven enterprise was difficult and costly, but ultimately successful. Supposedly the majority of the dwarf miners, builders, and guards perished defending their new home and only a few dwarves were taken prisoner. Since then, the dragon has holed up in the newly constructed chambers, hoping to recruit more kobolds from a nearby tribe to join her forces. The towns folk of Fallcrest are speculating that after gathering more cannon fodder, the dragon plans to use Coppernight Hold as a launching point for further attacks.
You have been appointed by the Mayor to find out what happened to the two militia members and to find the truth about what is actually happening at this Dwarven mining operation.
GAME FORMAT & MODES
This is a Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition PBEM RPG game with the majority of the game played as special initiative order driven tactical combat and noncombat encounters with some light role playing aspects involved.
There will be two types of game play modes. First Exploration Mode while in noncombat encounters and second Combat Mode while in combat encounters. In Exploration Mode your character might encounter skill challenges, puzzles, traps and hazards. In Combat Mode your character will encounter monsters, skill challenges, traps and hazards. All characters will be set in a special initiative order based upon which mode the game is currently engaged. Then each player will send player response emails on their character's initiative turn.
CHARACTER CREATION RULES
Follow these rules when creating your 4th edition character.
ABILITY SCORES: Use the Standard Array Method
Assign: ( 16, 14, 14, 11, 10, 10 ) or ( 18, 14, 11, 10, 10, 8 ) or ( 16, 16, 12, 11, 11, 8 )
RACES & CLASSES: Any Class and Race is available, as long as it is out of one of the Wizards of the Coast 4th Edition publications.
EQUIPMENT: Follow the standard character creation for 1st level characters in the Players Handbook when determining starting gold amount. For characters 2nd level and above, follow the rules listed below.
Choose whatever Standard Adventuring Gear you want from the tables in the Player’s Handbook, not exceeding 100 gp.
For Magic Items, choose one item of your level +1, one item of your level, and one item of your level -1.
In addition, you have gold pieces equal to the value of one magic item of your level -1 as listed on the Magic Item Prices in the Players Handbook. (PHB Page 223) You can spend this money on rituals, potions, or other magic items.
