For something different I played a wizard in my last game session.

Great character options, lots of fun, but when I sit down at the table with my character sheet...

How do I tell which of my spells are "prepared" and which are the spells merely listed in my spellbook?

Am I missing something or are they just not distinguished?

The Character Builder doesn't handle that.

Just determine which spells you wish to prepare and set aside all unprepared ones.
