I disagree with Vancian wizards not being the most popular design in D&D, at least among the greater player-base (not the much narrower forum player-base represented here).
And yet, when it was announced that Vancian casting was all but dead at 4e's con announcement, the place exploded with cheers.

Wasn´t Ki the name of the "fantastic car" (Knight Rider)? I rembember that 80´s TV serie where Michael Knight talked to his watch and he said the classic "Ki, I need you".
That was 'KITT', standing for the Knight Industries Two Thousand.

I'm pretty sure Ki, Chi, Qi, and Xi are all the exact same thing, just alternate spellings for a word that isn't originally from the alphabet that we use. If I'm wrong and there is some difference, and if the differences are then as minor and negligible as described here, then why should anybody care?
Why do people care about longsword vs broad sword vs arming sword?
If it means nothing to you, why rain on everybody elses parade and even post in this thread?
