Mortals specifically designed to interact with and oppose gods, and mortals older than your god, and mortals your god has never heard of, seen, or interacted with. Seems like a lot of room for variation. Besides, at the end of my post, all the angels are frozen in time: I just gave them a chance to react to your post.

"Veros" better be careful messing around with Time. You don't want to end up becoming an anomaler. Spoiler:

As soon as I saw Shadow going the Deception route I knew that someway or another Veros was going to rear his head. I remember thinking that after he said what he was going to do with Marcus being dead. I just knew it in my guts.

Only one of many roles, moondoggy, one of many.
Pen_Dragon, they are still mortals. Mortals created for 3 AP. They are not a threat to a god unless that god wants to represent them as a threat. I'm not going to say anymore on this, as I can;t make the final judgement. I'll let Toph and Joran sort it out, and once they have let us know their decision, we'll move from there.

Joran, I probably shouldn't make this decision on my own... come to Mibbit when you can. We also have our usual admin-ny stuff to talk about.

Okay. Joran and I have discussed and we agree on the following course of action.
Both posts are guilty of being too absolute with their terms. Shadow's post shuts down any further interaction by Pen, and Pen's post makes Shadow's current God seem vaguely impotent, particularly given what he said to Azgo in the middle of his post.
We feel the following:
By Sa's declaration, Divine power is a form of magic. All sentient life is able to try to make a saving throw against magic. All magic should grant sentient life the ability to make a saving throw, and, as 3 AP beings who have two souls, it is logical that the angels should have a chance of not being frozen along with the weaker beings and inanimate objects around them.
However, we are talking about a GOD's power here, and we can't assume that an entire race is going to all make their saving throws. Pen, please modify your post such that only a subset of the angels are able to move despite the effects of the spell. They may flee, or fight, or recite sumerian poetry while doing acrobatics, but the important part is that most of them are frozen in place.
If neither of you are okay with this, you are also welcome to delete your posts and try again in another manner.

Sure, Topheh. Might I ask that no one post more in that story line until I make edits?

As an FYI, got permission to set up Pen's post for him. He said he'll delete his old post and put up a new one. I, of course, already had an invested interest in driving a wedge between Veros and Azgo: it's much easier to secure an alliance with a corrupted god if he doesn't already have many allies.

Just deleted my old post and put a new one up. I'll try to be more open in the future. My only defense is that I was already annoyed at what felt like metagame knowledge from Veros (it was Marcus that knew about the angels, not Veros), and then if felt like Shadow... well, Topheh already said it. Not that any of that is an excuse. But I hope it help puts my behavior in perspective.
Topeh, I am curious: how much AP does one have to invest into a mortal race before they can avoid getting slapped around by gods? Those angels already had 8AP. 3 from create, 2 from souls, 1 from free will, 1 from the introduction of their ancient restorative power, 1 from the enhancement of that power. I'm thinking about flavoring them to specifically be threats to gods, with several specifically anti-divine attributes. I'm just not sure if that is possible, and if so, how much AP that would take.
Thanks.

Well, I'm not sure that we can really put a specific number on it. Really, the fluff of what those numbers are for are going to be important.
Otherwise, a race of... bunnies who have had 5 AP sunk into them giving them extra cuddle powers... would be just as capable of ignoring a God's orders as a race of, well, God-killing angels who have had 5 AP sunk into them making them 'increasingly resistant to divine effects.'
That said, for an entire race to be more-or-less protected from divine interference? Thats... going to be a lot of AP and RP!
