I'll be self-ascended from the great chaos itself.
I'll even post my first post also!

Yr would probably arise from something happening that is worthy of a story. She would come about from that first great myth, and then she would sort of embellish a bit, and make it stranger and more epic, and then sort of exist as that story.
She could be ascended by another god who does something or creates something really memorable or mythical.
Although being his counterpart, I'd like to get ascended around the same time if not at the same time as Thought.

So Thought and I were talking earlier, and now I think I'm going to change my god into basically the Good counterpart of his god. A lot of the details will remain the same, but I'm adding "Ancient Spirits of Good" to the name and changing the domain to Good.
You misremembered. I suggested you be the Ancient Spirit of Goody Two-shoeness. Much less serious.
Just to be clear, my focus is on antagonists over villains. Will yours be protagonists over heroes, or heroes over protagonists?
@Topheh, since my god is rather amorphous, I'd say he'd be "self ascended," but that could happen at any point. I could see it being early, as a primal moving force. A fundamental aspect of the universe that slowly moves into action as gods are about. Perhaps the innate will of the universe divides a mote of nothingness into matter and antimatter, good and evil, resulting in Ara and myself. Or perhaps later, as ill is about, the feeling of ill will between characters recognizes its own will.
I don't really see any god being logical to ascend "The Ancient Spirits of Evil."

Altruis would probably ascend unintentionally feasting on the souls of the other gods' creations, until he would eventually be able to gain enough power. Or another possible scenario is arising out of the pure malice or evil of another God or one of their actions. Such as a plague/battle happens between Gods or/and mortals and the clash of powers or torment of souls dead in a catastrophe swirling together to form into Altruis.
Can't wait to get started and have some fun with everyone!

Pen and James, don't bother. You're self-ascending along with Joran and I to get this thing started.
I'd like to encourage all players to consider ascending another player sometime in the first week to get everyone playing as quickly as possible. Lets try and have everyone in and playing by the end of next week.

I'd prefer being ascended by someone else. Another god pokes around in the darkness, and something in the darkness is awoken.

Personally I think it would make sense if my God was ascended by you, Topheh in the purpose to act as a steward or "Handyman" of some sort whose job is to..well..make things more tangible and solid. A craftsman that makes himself as his first craft would be quite cool as well, but nontheless I would prefer of Thereus was ascended by one of the "Old Gods".
