Hehe, I've been stopping by every day. (Just not posting, obviously)

Mortals don't worship Sa directly, and, I believe, the only mortals who even know of Sa are the Skyfolk above the crown. I think that some would worship "the source of magic", but they'd not know if that was a god, some manifestation of fantasy physics, or as part of erroneously worshipping some other god ("Thank Azgo for our ability to cast arcane spells!" ).

On the other hand, Sa's not really tried to hide its presence, either. I'm imagining a folksy sort of "pagan" god, who's known about, but not actively worshipped.

Oh, it'll be good... I just need to get the time to write it. :D

In other news, where in the world has Thought gone?  I think we're all waiting for him to post for his characters... 

You are? Shoot. For some reason, I thought I was waiting on you. I'll definitely have something up tomorrow.

Perhaps there is a connection between a lack of posting and people waiting for each other with little to communication on what to post.

Alright, Plans...

Its fairly simple overall. My main focus is on two things: creating a slightly more ordered/safe area than the ravages of the the Eastern continent, and building multiple kingdoms. That's not to say that i want a West=Peace, East=War dicotomy, just a little more balance. I am also planning on opening up a relationship between East and West given that the majority of the East have no idea there is a West...

Another fun idea is if a dragon race was native to the West, as opposed to the others.

The main problem I am having is that embellishing a continent by myself, especially when i have many evil plans I wish to carry forward, is quite expensive.

And you're right, the continents need a name.

I propose Westeros and Easteros.

No, I'm not drawing either of those names from anything, really.  Why do you ask?

Joran, no, you don't. I'll explain why, in a moment, but rules aside, if you'd rather I change the action, please do feel free to say so. I'd be absolutely thrilled to work with you to develop something more interesting.

Anywho, traditionally, demi-planes were the ones that were under the sole ownership of the god that created them (and so yes, one needed permission to meddle with those), while greater planes were the ones that devolved to public control after a week or two of exclusive control (and so, no, one did not need permission to meddle with those). I checked through the rules to see if that had changed for this iteration, but there was nothing along those lines, either way.

I'm quite glad that you're still watching. Post! We miss the dear old god of death.

EDIT: Forgotten, Topheh, given that only worshippers of Azgo are on the western continent, it seems only proper that they get to name it (and you've been quite good with the naming, Forgotten, so I'm sure you'll come up with something awesome). I have no ideas about the eastern continent, alas. Perhaps "Susan"? That's always a LoC fave.

I apologize. I seem to suffer a large penalty to Insight when on the internet, and a low wisdom score isn't helping much either. Looking back on your post, it makes much more sense now.

And yeah, Thought is right.  Minor planes are player-owned, but major ones are... modifiable.  Which, of course, means you can modify it right back.   

Hey guys! Sorry I basically dropped off the map like that. This has been a pretty crazy semester for me for a lot of reasons, but now school is done and I suddenly have lots of free time on my hands. And what is LoC if not a free-time-filler? My god was originally going to be a good counter-part to Thought's god, and I wouldn't want to start anything new so close to the end of the game. So I guess if anyone has anything they want to tie up or get done before the end, I can play the nice guy who helps you complete your goals, rather than the bad guy who messes them up. :D

Thought, if you're still around, might you delete the bit about the Azure Dragons felling the Behemoth? I've a longer post in progress to tie up that loose end.

(And while we're at it, I'd like to make Gold dragons from the "death" of Artun's beauty.

 And then have the Gold and White Dragons maim the Zizu... )

Oh, and a thought for the endgame.  I can't remember another game where the gods have been *quite* so asinine to the mortals.  What if the mortals banish us?

And Thought I was just making sure. I've been clueless to what to do since I've nearly destroyed the world once indirectly..... I figured the world could have used a reprieve from constant death, but then again it wouldn't be a LoC otherwise now would it! This has given me some ideas, that I'm mulling over. Maybe we aren't at an end game just yet!

Also Toph, this would be an awesome tie-in to your earlier suggestion how it ends. If I remember correctly new gods arose on that new plane oh so long ago, and this could be the precurser to just that!

Well, the problem with Culthet is that we need to get rid of all the gods, AND kill off all of the mortals.  That's... honestly, I want a more positive ending than that  

we don't have to kill off everyone....... but that doesn't mean a large chunk cant go off in a massive cataclysm

I am probably biased by only having participated in this game once, but I am unsure if our goal for the endgame should be to establish a loose continuity of some sort withm previous games rather than examining the ending that fits this LOC the best and allowing it to stand independently.

Merely my thoughts however.

Currently, he's on the frontlines battling dragonspawn and has just slipped into the rage that is inside all black dragons. Although now that i think about it, his death might be interesting...

Forgotten, what do you think about turning the Impaled Leviathan into a sort of "Eternal Proving Ground" for the dragons, where the Dragons make it their mandate to continuously attack the undying Leviathan and the dragonspawn it births, keeping it (effectively) pacified ad infinitum?

I'm a little sad that its at the Moot, but that doesn't seem likely to change. I'm all for it.

I'd like to gather all of the dragon colors together at the Mootstone, if possible.  Can we make those Gold dragons quickly, and can we get some non-violent White Dragons as well?

Those that I created, and then those that are the body of the behemoth, or would you say that there is only one group (all immortal mini behemoths)? Also, and I guess this would go to the admins as well, does that make the Balor an exarch race? Just curious how to play them.

As for the leviathan (and the Zizu), my thought had originally been to use their bodies to construct the demiplane that was eventually going to be TASOE's body. Seemed that ruin husks of exarchs would be appropriate. Not that things have to go that way, mind, but I thought it would be good to share what my thoughts had been.

There seems to be one prime candidate among us. James said that Pruinus was fair game for destruction, and it seems that no one is particularly interested in either interacting with her or her creations (come to think of it, there is not a lot of mantle passing about here. Onus' giants and Gelab Duhr, Rimmon's Nightwalkers, Pruinus' Nix). It would also be nice thematically: first to challenge Azgo, first to be destroyed.

My original plan was to help the Firstborn in their battles against the godbeasts and then slip away in the later part of the battle for some assassination. But it seems that both A): the godbeasts are not the threat they used to be, and B): Agni, Father Thorn, and Zebus are either partially inactive or frozen in time during a conversation everbody is waiting for someone else to advance.

So what If I instead sneak out through the Abyss-Great Beyond link and do some more subtle work in dispatching Pruinus untill the very end?

@Ara: No problem at all. To be honest, I'm not sure what I "need" per say as I have not planned anything too detailed nor specific. Nobody seems intent on controlling him despite earlier approval and the plan for him was lost with James. So basically I am commendeering him for the time being to launch an arc of my own. You could do a whole bunch of stuff. He could use an adventuring companion, a player controller, or some brainstorming on cool things he could do. If anything appeals to you or you have a question, feel free to ask.

My initial thought was that there were two subgroups, "Demons" and "Arch-Demons" as it were, corresponding to the first and second batches respectively.

And I wasn't aware you were going to construct a demiplane like that. In that case, I suggest the Zizu. Probably kill it in a extremely grisly and brutal fashion, first, and harvest some of the leviathan as well, perhaps?

Also, Thought, I am waiting for Artun to respond before creating Gold dragons (giving either you or Toph the opportunity to).


Bonus thought -- the zizu has fled towards the leviathan, and some of the newly-minted less-aggressive whites are following it towards the leviathan and the moot stone.

Bonus bonus thought - Seg + Artun also flee towards the leviathan, bringing some of the hot-off-the-presses golds with them to the leviathan and the moot stone.

I was thinking more along the lines of Leaf, actually. After all, it seems like Azgo views him as the head honcho.

In other news, it seems it is my turn to vanish for a time. Starting Friday, I won't be able to get at a computer for about ten days or so. If anyone has anything pressing that they want from me, ask and ask quickly. 

Well, I'm off for ten days or so. Here's my actions when appropriate:

Unless someone vehemently disagrees with my self-chosen mission, Azgo will move to engage the thousands of Balor in the East when the planning meeting is finished.

If this moves faster than i anticipate, and someone is waiting on Azgo to attack the Balor or if Thought wants to describe the attack from his side, then Azgo unleashes the Craterspawn hordes on the Balor. Their tactics are mainly to harry, contain, and cripple rather than a full out do-or-die attack. Azgo seems mysteriously absent from the battlefeild however.

Maybe that will be necessary, maybe not. But its there.

I think its fairly obvious that this game is drawing to an end.  I think a logical ending would be the battle of the Gods with TASOE, followed by a week of 'aftermath' posts and then we call it finished while we still have some motivation left.  What do people think?

Also, Raven, please find me on Steam... or tell me if you had any particular plans for the Gold Dragons being created.  If not, I'm probably going to make them momentarially.

I had no plans for them other than the color, and for them to travel the moot immediately.

Okay, enough is enough. Lets settle some things.

It seems that we've all fallen into some sort of unspoken pact to let the game die out on its own. Is that tue? Is this game over, or not?

I have more i want to post but there has been little activity as of late. I have been hesitating to post out of doubts in its effectiveness. So are we going to plan and carry out the ending we wanted for this game or are we going to suffocate it to death like the many people who joined this game and vanished?

I apologize if i come off as aggresive, but I am growing tired of ambiguity.      

The problem is that all of the endgame necessitates Thought (or taking control of Thought), since TASOE is the only loose end (well, and the Zizu) in need of resolving.

So that was set up when Thought was around, and now he's not.

I suppose the question then becomes, are we okay with puppet-ing Thought to trap / exile / susan his god?

It certainly would be poetic justice to make TASOE it/themselves a puppet deity :D

But yeah, at the moment the main 'plot' of the game is... a little stalled as it relies on him... doing things.  I'll try again to get in touch with him and get him to move things along, or at least move things to a point where we don't have to wait for him to post before we can move on.  If not... we'll find other means to... extract... the information.  And yes, that means Azgo gets to have fun while we all look on and feel vaguely sick to our stomachs.

As for the rest...

Yeah, I'll move the Moot along.   Sa, I've been waiting for you to continue the adventures of the Azer Galfe, but I'll do something with that if you aren't interested.

And I'd still like to come up with a way to recreate the one destroyed orb that made the black dragons.  Any ideas, folks?  

That said, lets come up with a few new things to talk about as well.  Anyone have any ideas?  I'd love to flesh out the Chitrachs a little more if there is anyone who would like to interact with them.  Plus I still have another race for the new continents that... I'm working around to posting.  Hopefully my paper will be done in the next hour, then I'll have plenty of time to post again.

I vote for the destruction of Ka'Vah. He's helpless at the moment anyway. Perhaps fate took away his power for a purpose...

Here's my list of goals.

1)  Develop the mistrust of the world for the Gods and create an organization that worships the God before the Gods (the one who made all the firstborn)
2)  Introduce at least two new races to the west
3)  Return all the suns to the sky
4)  Make the Dragonborn (this will happen quickly, I think)
5)  Resolve Sil Arkesh and... whatever I called the new home of the dwarves in the mountains.
6)  Develop the Source of Fire more, perhaps through the use of the Forge of Thereus.
7)  Make some more exarchs.  Do I even have one?  Ka'Vah doesn't count.
8)  Find TASOE, banish him, and... in some way draw the game to a close by doing so.  Perhaps we all get sucked out into the void or something :D

I'm present..... I'm just not doing anything. I never got a response on my last post, so I assumed I was being ignored by the gods present. And until he's addressed or has something to contribute, he's simply hanging out and listening and gathering what info he can on the personalities and thought proccesses of the other gods.

The game is ending. I've got no strings or loose ends to tie up anywhere else, so I'm in for the main action. Which is currently stalled by the absence of our primary antagonist.

Why haven't you asked about in the OOC? If the other players meant to ignore your god, it would have been in the posts rather than implied. Or why haven't to described him slinking into the background and listening. At this point, any post is a welcome post.

And while yes, you have no loose ends, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the ride down. Just build, create, expand. It doesn't have to open up a loose end. It just has to shape the world somehow.

I've not really had a lot of time to make even minor posts between work, keeping up with posts and then going to origins. I'll try to post after work if I can find time (posting from phone at worl now). But i'm also not going to start anything new in a declining game when I can save the idea for a new one. If we decide we aren't finishing this game soon, then its a dofferent animal.

If Thought doesn't reappear by Thursday/Friday, I will begin using Sa's domain of prophecy to "puppet" TASOE, mostly in terms of correctly predicting what he will be doing, ergo handling what he is doing.

Any objections?

I got ahold of Thought.  He's completely swamped with a variety of things and apologizes for not being able to post.  He proposes we basically make up a location for where TASOE is, although he did state "Oh, so you just want to know where TASOE is right now? When I left off, I was going to have him jump out of Shadow and slap down Seg/Artun"  When I expressed surprise that TASOE was hiding in Shadow's God, he stated: "TASOE is always where there is evil, and Shadow's evil, so.... "

So, it seems to me that we have our next steps.  TASOE leaps out (of somewhere) as a mass of evil spirits, strikes down Seg and Artun just as they are about to spill the beans, and then races off, with our gods in hot pursuit.  We have one final, world-scarring battle, banish the spirits of evil (or imprison them in a newly reforged mega-sun... in continuing the theme of 'Agni's a jerk', I half feel like ending the game by making the world a desert would be... fitting. :D  Or, you know, I could just make Summer, as we've defined all the other seasons by now.

So who wants to start this whole thing moving?  Sa getting a 'bad feeling about this' seems like an appropriate way to begin to me!



Regardless, Dragonborn creation is incoming, as is some drama over in the West.  Going to try and have the former up tonight, the latter up tomorrow, as well as a few more tags to try and get things rolling.  Got to find Umbra and kill him, too :D

Once this "chase" begins, Azgo will probably slink away to destroy Pruinus and/or Father... Bramble was it? That all right with everyone?

And as a side note to Toph: If Paren does not heal Cantorix, he will die. Not to say that I want Cantorix to live, or want him to die, but that is a decision you must make.

Finished the post... ending is a little different now.

So... there's something I wanted to discuss before we plunge into the Depths of No Return regarding the ending. As far as I'm aware, there have been a few sugestions for an ending, but the group has not selected anything officialy. Is that true?

If so, I would like to finalize that before we defeat TASOE. My personal vote is for us to wrap up this "chapter" of defeating TASOE and then leave on a "and the story continues" note (much more elegant than that, but in essence the same). Also, my bias as a new player might is certainly affecting this, but I don't want to pursue a type of continuity between LoC's. I like the idea of them standing alone as they are. Merely my opinion however, and I am willing to pursue whatever the group decides together.

If not, what is the ending we've agreed upon. I must of missed it.
