Switch to Forum Live View Warforged Component Plate Armor?

Just a quick one.

The Plating Component options for Warforged say that they're plate. Does this mean that I'd need my Warforged character to get a proficiency in Plate to actually use the armor plating without penalty?

Yes. Proficiency penalties still apply since Warforged Component doesn't exempt them.
