Oma, I believe you missed something I asked before based on one of your "supporting" facts. Can you respond this this simple piece of logic and demonstrate your mastery of the english language? wizard familiar is a summon then don't give exp. "A familiar is a normal animal that gains new powers and becomes a magical beast when summoned to service by a sorcerer or wizard."
I highlighted a little more of that line for you.
So you are now waying that I could sent an ENTIRE ARMY at the PCs and not give them a single point of XP for defeating it? How's that you ask? Well is is really simply you see; I had there king/ruler/leader summon them to service.
Being "summoned to service" is no difference from "being selected" as a Druid would an Animal Companion. It appears you are once again being caught off guard by the common usage of words as opposed to when they are actually used as game terms.

www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0012.htmlIt is easy to do, however i think Oma will outright refuse to be wrong under any circumstance, even if the rules outright state it in plain simple terms, he will argue it. Probably quote an unrelated FAQ about hiring mercenaries and insist they are "Official Rules Updates"

As described in the FQA as normal this not are regulated for abuses of the rules. In this case the DM need give full exp if the Main Character dont waste her abilities of the day as example a cleric with many undead raises days ago, and half exp for opponents add for the main character as prevention of the party coming as example a cleric that use raise dead before to fight again a party because he waste her daily abilities but still he dont going to waste any turn in the battle again the party to use it.
Many of the examples of the Animal Companion have a CR too low for the CR of her master but the animal companion can overcome the limit of power easy and have a CR similar to the master.
And the Main rule say that your animal companion are with you for friendship, your magic dont give you any control over the animal he do what he want you only give him some special powers.

ok is the same with a Fighter that have casted spells that let him STR and Nat armor for a friend, under the rules you only update the CR if you are using other array of stats and the natural armor dont fall in the CR adjustment this are contemplated in the change of size, as variant rule you can apply more Natural armor, Spell Resitands, ETC based in the new HDs if you think that this are underpowered for her new CR
A variant rule that you make up yourself won't give an animal companion an official CR.

Where do the rules say that you have to have control over a summoned creature for it to count?
For example, you don't have any control over the swarm you summon with a summon swarm spell. Are you going to suggest that a summoned swarm should give XP because you can't control it?

Zauber's Mutable Rod: This rod has a number of useful functions that make it easier to live in the wilderness. It is made of polished wood, with five studlike buttons on one end. Each button produces a different effect when pressed. Unless otherwise noted, the rod’s functions have no limit on the number of times they can be employed. • When button 1 is pressed, one end of the rod produces a small flame, equivalent to a candle. • When button 2 is pressed, the rod unfolds into a two-person tent, complete with bedrolls and warm blankets. • When button 3 is pressed, the rod becomes a one-handed hammer, suitable for pounding pitons into a wall. • When button 4 is pressed, the rod becomes a sturdy iron spade. • When button 5 is pressed, the rod becomes a wooden bucket able to hold 2 gallons of liquid. Once per day, it can be commanded to fill with fresh water. If the rod is seriously damaged or broken in any of its alternate forms (button 2, 3, 4, or 5), it reverts to its basic rod form and cannot be activated for 24 hours. Moderate conjuration; CL 9th; Craft Rod, minor creation; Price 375 gp; Weight 2 lb.

the DMG say that he work like a cohort and he say that any creature put in the battlefield based in magic powers dont give exp while the updated rules say that it should in special circumstances.
For the DMG the animal companion (that is only described in DMG) is your friend and a normal animal never say that he are forced to obey or follow you the DMG say that he can leave you if you break the frienship like with any other NPC.

This would be true Oma, if during the battle, an NPC Wizard casts Dominate Mind the group's Barbarian, the group would not get XP for the barbarian.

no im not saying during the battle i am saying that if i use charm persont to make a barbarian my friend and then go to an adveture this means that in the adventure any opponent dont gain exp from the barbarian???
because is the same with the animal companion, you use a ritual to be more friends and share some power but still you can fight 6 hours after and the animal companion are with you for frienship only, and like any other good friend if someone attack you he going to attack him

Oma, in your example however the person you are charming is not part of a character's class or special abilities. The ability to Cast charm may be part of the class but the target isn't.
This would be the same as a level 1 NPC fighter being decked out in 50,000 gp of of extra gear. Or a level 5 Wizard that had EVERY available spell, as well as scrolls
In short the barbarian is not standard equipment or feature of a wizard.
A druid's animal companion however is a standard feature and part of the druid class, as listed in his special abilities.
If you can't see the difference then you are an idiot.
