I lost faith in Atari for many reasons, mostly because they rush the devs that they control and they always force their studios to release unfinished products. On the bright side Neverwinter is being made by Cryptic and Perfect World Entertainment so Atari has nothing to do with it anymore which looks good for the project. We will have to wait and see.

Atari has filed for bankruptcy so that the "Infogrames Entertainment" part of the company can be legally seperated from the "GT Interactive" part of the company. Atari is not the same company it was a long time ago. Both of these companies "GT Interactive" and "Infogrames Entertainment" use the Atari brand name because consumers know it. Just like "Southern Bell Co" uses the "AT&T" name today. It is just branding really.

Do you know the news about the remake of the two Camcom+D&D arcades.
Chronicles of Mystara.

I suposse this could mean a open door to new D&D videogames by Capcom. Fogorten Realms wouldn´t be necesary because Mystara settin is enough.

This post wasn't very thought out. Most all of the D&D games have been widely recieved as successful. The few exceptions like Temple of Elemental Evil, the D&D MMO, and the few console games to be released are the only poor games to come out. Yes Atari is a terrible company, but by no means were they only ones making D&D games. Atari really doesn't exist anymore so I guess the OP's wish came true?

Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer was a wonderful game. As the guys from a magazine wrote in their review back in 2007: "the best D&D game in years... and it's an expansion".

i work in the games industry (as a freelance 3D artist) believe me, much like films - creating a game that is a blockbuster is the exception not the norm. So many factors are at play beyond a good IP you wouldn't even believe it.

I'm hoping they'll make a turned based strategy game similar to the new X-com game. I think replayability would be high. They could release a lot of DLC content that could include modules, classes, gear, etc. I tweeted them about it a few days ago. No reply though.
