Anyone know where or if there is a dire template for animals I have looked all over and I have not been able to find it so the question is out there is there one or do you just kinda of wing it when making say a dire riding dog for eg

It isn't available. Dire animals aren't templated; they're separate base animals. This was particularly annoying in 3e, where WotC had to even invent a third category for animals above "dire" ("Legendary" animals, which are still in the Epic SRD) simply to keep the scaling up.
There are numerous other templates to consider, though - Horrid (Eberron Campaign Setting), Warbeast (MM...2, I think), and I think Magebred (Eberron CS again, although this is a lower power result) are common.

Yeah looking at a replacement char just incase my paladin dies and I had a couple of ideas
Idea 1 is the tiny sized char
Idea 2 is a Paladin 5 Druid 5 beast master 1 halfling outrider 2 With natural bond and devoted tracker
reading natural bond and the druid animal companion box for improved animal companion I can have a -6 animal with 13 levels of druid and paladin
The math works like this
Paladin 5 +druid 5 (with devoted tracker is ) +10 +beastmaster1 gives a +4 +outrider+2 +2 for a total of +18-6 for improved animal companion +1 from natural bond as it can not up my companion past my level which in this cast is 13. So that gives me 2 levels of anything I want before I have to return to paladin druid beastmaster or outrider to continue the progress on my companion
A druid of sufficiently high level can select her animal companion from one of the following lists, applying the indicated adjustment to the druid’s level (in parentheses) for purposes of determining the companion’s characteristics and special abilities.
Benefit
Add three to your effective druid level for the purpose of determining the bonus Hit Dice, extra tricks, special abilities, and other bonuses that your animal companion receives (see page 36 of the Player's Handbook). This bonus can never make your effective druid level exceed your character level.
Option 1 is being discussed in another thread, but again, I would suggest reading The Other Killer Gnome.
Option 2 is basically Supermount! all over again, except done less usefully (it's much more effective to use Beastmaster + Natural Bond instead of actual druid levels - this lets you pack in more Halfling Outrider, which stacks with both mount and companion levels.)
(EDIT: The "classic" supermount! isn't on the first post of that thread; it's Pal 5 / Beastmaster 2 / Halfling Outrider 10 / Wild Plains Outrider 3. RT suggested a dual-companion version midway through the thread (Pal5 / Beast5 / Outrider 10), but due to the way Devoted Tracker is written you only get one Supermount!; the other is "just" a maxxed-out animal companion).)
