You know how I know Oma's trolling? Every post starts with "sorry but". It's almost like he's trying to piss people off.

I don't think he is trolling, I think he believes that if he stamps his feet and cries loud enough it will make him right.

Doesn't matter, I have shown absolutely conclusive and irrifutable proof that is written in clear english that he is wrong, and he still insists to debate the meaning of a clearly worded sentence.

So yes if not a troll, he is still incabable of common comprehension of the rules in any meaningful way.

Officially Rules Written in clear english

"FQA dont Cover the errata"
Normal Person: That's Issues are resolved in the errata and this FQA don't cover wrong rules (demonstrated)
MrCustomer: don't cover it and the FQA work with the Wrong Rules

"Caster Level: A spell’s power often depends on caster level, which is defined as the caster’s class level for the purpose of casting a particular spell. A creature with no classes has a caster level equal to its Hit Dice unless otherwise specified. The word “level” in the spell lists that follow always refers to caster level."

"Spells: The character gains spells from all of his or her spellcasting classes and keeps a separate spell list for each class. If a spell’s effect is based on the class level of the caster, the player must keep track of which class’s spell list the character is casting the spell from."

Normal Person: The Caster level of the spells are based in the Class of the Spell

Here are the official updates to the current and previous edition D&D products. New updates are published as needed, and these are updated when additional new updates are officially recognized.

Thats from the link to errata, The errata is official rules updates, not "wrong rules"

"wrong rules and typos" are not corrected in errata, that is what reprints are for.

Oma, find the quote in the FAQ that states that it is official for the purposes of playing D&D.

All books and errata have it. The FAQ does not.

Oma, do you realize there is a difference between "official rules FAQ" and "official rules?"  One is the "official rules" and the other is just "this is how we* would answer certain questions about the official rules."  *Here "we" are who ever is answering the question.

Have you ever played video games?  Have you ever seen the "official guide to X" and then seen that things in there don't actually mesh up with what actually happens in X?

I could say that the "official rules" are something like the Constitution of the United States.  Errata are amendments to that Constitution.  Various laws could be something like your FAQ answers but they do NOT over ride the Constitution and can be struck down when they do.

Sorry but the FQA in this game are the OFFICIAL RULE ANSWER FOR RULES ISSUES.

This is the official form that the ones that wrote the Constitution want to be used for the people.

Oh, if only we were allowed to discuss politics...

Seriously, guys; stop feeding the troll.
