I've found at the start of one of my games that the Character builder will not load if you are using Windows 8.
It won't load in chrome, firefox, IE. i've reinstalled silverlight but the program just will not run.
I ended up canceling the game as this was only one of many problems we had that night, but has anyone found any success in getting the Dungeons and Dragons Insider tools to work in Windows 8?

It works for me using desktop IE. Metro IE, however, doesn't support silverlight so it doesn't load.

I've got the same problem. I have to default back to the old desktop & load it from there. A pain in the arse. >
