How much is exactly the range on it? can i just attack my target if i see him as a dot in the far horizon? O.o?

Yes since there is no range limit to the melee attack. So as long you have line of effect you should be able to attack it with melee attacks.
D379 Sundered Shadow: Until the end of the encounter, you gain a +2 power bonus to attack rolls against the target, and you can make melee attacks against the target even when it is beyond your melee reach.
