I thought i saw a reference to Humans swapping their extra starting language - for some other minor benefit (at character generation) - in a Dragon Magazine article. But i can't seem to find it. Does anyone know if there was such additional options in a dragon magazine - or is my memory in error again? Pretty Please

I have not heard of this. Maybe you are thinking of swapping their bonus at-will for heroic effort?
