Do abilities that activate when a melee attack succeeds, activate when you use an order card to attack?
For instance does Vampire Stalker's Life Drain(Whenever a target takes damage from this creature's melee attack, this creature heals 10 Damage.) activate if it attacks with Vampiric Touch(Make a Melee Attack that deals 30 Damage. If the target takes damage from this attack, this creature heals 30 Damage.) or Careful Attack(Make a melee attack that deals Sword + 10 Damage. Attach...)?
Or are these abilities meant to be used only with the characters' basic attacks?
I assume if the card states Melee Attack then the special abilities would work.(Life Drain, Flashing Blades, etc.) Not looking for specific combos just general answer these were just the cards that I drew from the deck for examples.
Thanks in advance.

This not being D&D there is no such thing as a "basic melee attack". A melee attack is a melee attack wether performed by the creature itself or through the use of an order card (keeping in mind that the order card must state "make a melee attack", of course). There are instances where a creatures special ability cannot be used in combination with a (standard) order card, but this is solved by adding the "tap" symbol as an activation cost before the special ability (see Umber Hulk or Dracolich for example).
So, yes, your assumption is correct.
