@Jacques: you can only take 1st level stances with swordsage 1, so you'd still need to spend a feat for Crushing Weight. Why not go Brb1/Mnk2/PsyWar17? If you're not going to use the Shadow Sun Ninja, you're better off not taking swordsage, since (iirc) it doesn't stack with monk. That also gets you another bonus feat. Since Martial Study & Martial Stance are both fighter bonus feats, you can get them with your PsyWar bonus feats. I'd say take Martial Study (Mountain Hammer or Stone Vise) at PsyWar 5, and Martial Stance (Crushing Weight) at PsyWar 8.

Derp for the double post. @Krusk: Gauntlets are always unarmed damage, unless they're spiked. It says so right in the description.

@Krusk okay, then i will keep it in the build
i will be using a necklace of natural attacks if i can't get the mighty fists one to work. If i could re-slot the enchantment i would rather it be as gloves though so i will see if that works with my DM.
@draco1119 the idea behind taking swordsage was that i would get to keep my unarmed damage, gain some awesome maneuvers (like sudden leap) and qualify for crushing weoight of the mountain through the expenditure of another feat. if i don't take swordsage i would have to spend 2 feats, but i am starting to think it is still a good idea. especially if the unarmed damage from swordsage doesnt stack.
so i can drop the swordsage level then.
thanks for the replies

Remember that PsyWar 17 gives you a bonus feat, so you're not losing one by having to use 2 for Crushing Weight.

How did I not know that? (I know how) Great to know! The text trumps the table, so the table saying 1d3 is for a normal dude wearing them, whereas the text says "you deal unarmed damage". Draco is right.

hey guys, i wrote a build up just now, tell me what you think.
Half-Giant
abilities: 16 str, 17 dex, 14 con, 12 int, 14 wis, 10 cha (i actually rolled these)
level 1: Monk 1, feats: monastic training, shape soulmeld (girallon arms), talashtora 2: monk 2 3: Monk 2/ Barbarian 1, feats: multigrab 4: Monk 2/ Barbarian/ Psi Warrior 1, feats: psionic meditation, +1 str 5: Monk 2/ Barbarian/ Psi Warrior 2, feats: psycarnum infusion 6: Monk 2/ Barbarian/ Psi Warrior 3, feats: greater multigrab 7: Monk 2/ Barbarian/ Psi Warrior 4 8: Monk 2/ Barbarian/ Psi Warrior 5, feats: azure talent , +1 str 9: Monk 2/ Barbarian/ Psi Warrior 6, feats: snap kick 10: Monk 2/ Barbarian/ Psi Warrior 7 11: Monk 2/ Barbarian/ Psi Warrior 8, feats: midnight augmentation 12: Monk 2/ Barbarian/ Psi Warrior 9, feats: martial study (mountain hammer), +1 wis 13: Monk 2/ Barbarian/ Psi Warrior 10 14: Monk 2/ Barbarian/ Psi Warrior 11, feats: martial stance (crushing weight of the mountain) 15: Monk 2/ Barbarian/ Psi Warrior 12, feats: rending constriction
how does it look? i only did it up to 15 because that is when i pretty much run out of feats to take so i wasn't sure if i should keep going psi warrior or not.
how does the build look overall? and, should i keep going psi warrior or should i head another direction?
thanks for the replies

Keep taking psy warrior. I don't know enough about TOB to really give build advice on the rest.
