The rules state that a hybrid character may multiclass normally.

The rules for hybrid classes state "if you have at least two powers in the same category (at-will attack, encounter attack, daily attack, or utility), at least one of those powers must come from each of your hybrid classes."

The acolyte, adept and novice multiclass feats state "You can swap one [encounter, daily, utility] power you know for one [encounter, daily, utility] power of the same level or lower from the class you multiclassed into."

Suppose a character is a hybrid of ClassA and ClassB. The character has four daily powers, one from ClassA and three from ClassB. The character takes the adept power feat to gain a ClassC daily power.

My question is this. If the character chooses to swap out his only ClassA power to gain the ClassC power, does this violate the hybrid Gaining Additional Powers rule? The rules dictate that in each power category (daily, encounter, utility) the hybrid character must have at least one power from each class.

What do others think?

Hybrids can't powerswap until they have 3 powers of a given type, and must swap out a power from the class from which they get two.  It's one of the drawbacks of hybridising.

Alright, thanks for clearing that up!
