Hello,

I have a question about the Damage Workspace. If we're using at-will powers, and it tells you to use 1[W] + Char for example, do we add our damage workspace to it as well as our charasima modifier or just the charisma modifier?

Thanks!

You do not add Cha twice.

The damage workspace has a spot for your stat (Cha), because the majority of the powers add your stat (Cha) to damage.

Okay, so then would I use my entire damage workspace? Or just my char modifier?

The power gives you 1|W|+Cha.

Other things may give you more.  Such as having a +1 weapon will give you +1.  And the weapon focus feat might give you another +1.

The damage workspace is just there to help you add everything up.  But everything is only added once.

But really, since you have DDI, i would use the character builder.  It does all the adding for you.

Yeah its just my char right now so it would just be +4.
Another question when it comes to actually doing the attack roll vs AC. Say it says Dex vs AC for example, that's just my dex mod? Or do I had my profession weapon bonus to the dex as well (so what I roll plus my dex? or what I roll plus my dex + 2 weapon prof)?

If it has the weapon keyword, you add the weapon proficency, yes.  You also add 1/2 your level, but 1/2 of 1 is 0.

So it would be 4 (Dex)+2(Prof)+0(level) = 6
Roll a d20, add 6, and see if it's greater then or equal to the monster's AC.

Most monsters will have a 15 AC at level 1.  So if you roll a 9 or better, you hit.  Monsters defenses vary of course, some have better and others will have worse.  But the rule of thumb is that you should be hitting monsters of the same level as you on a ~9+.

I still recommend using the character builder.  This edition can get a bit math heavy, and your already paying for it.

Our math is fine, just where to apply it is a little off because things aren't exactly explained perfectly clear sometimes d:

Just in case  - - - you add your cha modifier (-1,0,1,2,3,4 etc), not cha (8 - 20ish) - - - Appart from starting Hitpoint which adds constitution score rather than con modifier all other applicaions use statistic modifier.
