I'm messing with some ideas for this creature and trying to discern the value of the special portion of the Bore into Brain power that it has. Of what benefit is it for the power to ignore the dying condition if it reduces a target to 0hp.? I'm considering making it just cause the victim to become a thrall as with other mind flayers? Anyone?
'If this power reduces the target to 0 hit points or fewer, the creature ignores the dying condition until it saves against the dominated effect.'

The benefit is that, well, there's no point in dominating a dying creature because it can't do anything. It's dying. With this, the creature stays up and moving until it stops being dominated, then it keels over and starts making death saving throws.
Another day, another three or four entries to my Ignore List.
