Okay, for me, it feels kinda weird to keep playing Dungeons and Dragons with a ton of dungeons but no dragons. Can we get one in the Bestiary soon? I miss them already.
I know there may be quite a few mechanics to work out, but even NPC dragons (you know, ones too powerful for us to scratch, but who may make for good story characters) would be nice.
"Our idea of rules modules has a wide range of scope; sometimes, our rules modules might just be small tweaks and variant rules, while other times they could be large-scale changes and entirely new subsystems. We want people to make the game their own, and that means provided a whole array of possibilities based on what you, the players, tell us that you want." -D&DNext Q&A Blog, 8/29/12, Answer #3.

Thank you for bringing that up! I thought I was the only one sad about the lack of dragons in the Beastiary. I mean, I know it's a playtest but...DRAGONS.

And please no young white dragon shoe horned into the first dungeon, seriously there needs to be a hall of fame for those poor young white dragons that have died humiliating deaths at the hands of first level adventurers.

Or, at the very least, a wyvern or a drake, then tell us that dragons are not going to be suitable opponents for 5th level PCs.

I don't care about Dragons if they are so weak that players cringe having to fight the "obligatory" dragon in every single WotC adventure product.

I'll be the lone voice against dragons, for the time being.
Monsters are in general pretty messed up right now. And it's not just XP values, but a bunch of combat numbers as well. Heck, they only just released a new packet with better monsters.
Dragons are the second most-complicated monsters in the game (first being NPCs with class levels). They're incredibly difficult to design. I say do them only when the basics are hammered down pretty well. Probably close to last.
