Portal is a level 4 card that attachs to a creature allowing them to become a gateway to deploy on a magic circle.
My question is this. If you have say 2 drow or hobgobling wizards and 1 aids the other to cast this card. Do you only need to aid for the intial casting? Thus card attaches to caster or it is every time you wish to deploy within the magic circle? In which case you would need to keep those units together.

There is nothing in the rules that causes you to check the level of an attached card when you use the attached text ability. If you can get an attachement on with assisting creatures then it's on there and you can use it.
