Don't blame the ruleset if someone tries using Create Food and Water to summon a Donkey (lions eat Donkeys right?) to ride on and a Water Elemental (hey, it's water) It isn't the fualt of the ruleset, it's the fault of the person.

I think the rule there specifically states the kind of food created... and the description is some sort of gruel or un-buttered, un-sugared oatmeal. I suppose raw horse meat  could be on the menu, though...

DM: So you're running low on provisions and still have a long way to....

PLAYER: [Interrupting] Aw heck no I don't! I cast me a wang-a-dang-dang create food and water spell dang doodle all day man and summon RAW HORSE MEAT and wang-dang ride out tha wang-dang dessert swanging a blang-dame cactus on that E-quest-rian food's glooty-maximus to spur that mount back to the wang-dang town before that gate close. I need that 'spearience, mang!

A rogue with a bowl of slop can be a controller.

WIZARD PC: Can I substitute Celestial Roc Guano for my fireball spells?
DM: Awesome. Yes.

Using the arguement that the spell says " fare of your choice—highly nourishing, if rather bland"   and for 3 people/level, i am sure that for a level 5 Cleric that a small donkey would be enough food for 15 people to eat, and in their defence, I imagine that a donkey would qualify as being rather bland.

Yes I know it doesn't work, and it's patently ubsurd, yet I have seen stuff like this attempted before.

It's the same as "I am CN, therefore I ride into battle on a pig, armed with a large fish, then stab my party to death in their sleep and steal their gold to throw into the nearest river, because I am CN!"

Neither is a problem with the mechanics of the system, the "issues" that are debated about here are neither caused by, solved, nor prevented with an Alignment system, because the root of the problem is with the DM/Players.

It's sort of like the parents who blame their kid's horrible behaviour on that "rock and roll music" a video game, (or for playing D&D) rather then their own parental failings, "it's that Ozzy Ozborn that made him that way, we should never have let him out of the attic!"

The signin feature at the email us section in the link you have provided is currently broken. It won't let me sign in. Is there another place where I can contact customer help?

If I play a cannibalistic savage warrior... can I summon people?

Yes, but it will be math-professor meat...so very bland.

I'm on a journey of enlightenment, learning and self-improvement. A journey towards mastery. A journey that will never end.

If you challenge me, prepare to be challenged.  If you have something to offer as a fellow student, I will accept it. If you call yourself a master, prepare to be humbled. If you seek me, look to the path. I will be traveling it. #SuperDungeonMasterIITurbo
