Campaign Difficult level: HARD Prerequisites: Races and Classes found anywhere in the 4E as long as the race or class was presented as a PC choice. Its important yet only an option that every PC have a backgrounds that applies the PC have been exposed to planar portal travels or/and has an Eberron origin. (Full backgrounds are optional and can be address later, if necessary.) Only races with a language will be allowed to fulfilled PC's roles. (If proposed PC speak no structured language than only PCs belonging to a Good, Lawful Good or Unaligned Diety will be considered.) 6 PCs - Each is a Level 8 PCs; each having up to 5 magic items (Magic items of levels no greater than 10.) and their carrying weight mustn't exceed normal perimeter for their race and size. A player may take over for another player's PC temporary in this campaign only on request or until a replacement player is needed after the game started. Warning: Some NPCs found in this campaign could be hybrid or/and re-outfitted with the same classes, powers and equipment you are choosing from even though they are govern by DM1/DM2/MM1/MM2/MM3 as well as Eberron/Forgotten Realms Campaign Guides for their expressions and templates. This campaign has hard grading encounters and is merciless in combat situations. Advice About This Campaign: Achieved the encounter/mission and be creative with your skill scores and powers to counter the difficult level grading. Tough guys here either get tougher or fail, so play smart. So here's how the recruitments are working: Post your interest with a quick description of your character that includes race, class, level and a brief background on this thread. (There's are some who is on the As Tis So Far box below, but if they don't confirmed they are still interest by time I've received six confirmed and qualifying character summaries they will lose their priority status.)

THE LAWS OF DARGUUN Across Khorvalre, Darguun has a dark reputation as a lawless land. The Code of Galifar (see page 54 in the Eberron Player's Guide) has no standing here and violence, crime, and corruption are commonplace. Darguun has no control of illicit substances, and slavery Is practiced by many of its tribes. Physical intimidation is a standard bargaining technique and violence between equals is rarely worthy of note. However, even this lawless land has its limits. When it comes to violence, the critical issues are whether an attack is justified and whether it harms others. A merchant selling shoddy goods should expect to be beaten. However; a person who attacks an honest merchant and steals her goods is a thief and will be punished. This principle extends across every level or society. Troublemakers are dealt with, but the concept of self-defense is interpreted broadly in Darguun.

Szeth Khayal is a half elf hexblade(elemental pact). He is a part of House Orien. He served as a guide and trail blazer for years. He's the bastard son of a minor noble in the house. He and is mother were kept in the household as servants, but never showed any favoritism and he was denied any of his birthright until on his 20th birthday he manifested the Mark of Passage. Because of his background in the household of a noble he was conscripted into the messenger service. He served there until he delivered a message to a Lord from House Phiarlan in Xen'drix. Unbenknownst to Szeth the message also contained instructions to have Szeth killed. Rather than be directly involved in the murder the Lord tasked Szeth with delivering another message to a remote outpost deep in the wilderness. Two days into the journey the small group he was in was ambushed and massacred. Szeth was the only survivor, and just barely. He only managed to survive because member of the Tharaskh Wayfinders was returning to Stormwind. While he was bleeding out he swore up and down that would get revenge on whoever ambushed his team by any means he could. When he woke up the Wayfinder mentioned that he was the only survivor and really should have been dead. As he dreamed that night he was met by a man with red eyes and a woman with blue eyes. Kaji, as the red eyed man introduced himself, offered a means to gain his vengance in exchange for an unspecified service. In his dream Szeth accepted. The woman, whom Kaji referred to as Kyouko, touched Szeth on his chest causing it to burn and blister, then whispered something in Szeth's ear. In the dream it was clear, but when he woke the next morning he couldn't remember what was said. He also discovered a plain silver rod among his possessions. On his chest where the woman had touched him in his dream was a strange arcane symbol tattoeed on him. When he touched the rod for the first time the tattoo glowed and more strange images flashed before his eyes including images of a person summoning a blade while holding onto a rod and techniques for using the blade in combat. The rod cracked and crumbled in his hands. Over the next few days he discovered he had skills and abilities he'd never possessed before including random arcane knowledge and the ability to summon the sword he'd seen in his visions. Using what little money he had left he hired the Wayfinder to track down the amushers. He discovered they had been hired by the Lord who sent him into the wilderness. Infiltrating the Lord's manner, Szeth confronted him and leaned that the contents of the message he delivered had included instructions to kill him. The Lord gave him the name Lorac Thrangul. Giving the Lord the same courtesy he was shown Szeth did not kill him, but left him tied to his bed. Szeth then booked passage back to Khorvaire and disappeared into the search for Lorac Thrangul.
I'll get his stats up as soon as I can. WOTC has an open ticket with the devs to get something cleaned up on the backend of my account so I can get back into the character builder.

Every aspect of Dantus's frame speaks of power and strength. His body seems to move with a weight beyond that of even his powerful form, almost as if he walks with the force of a mountain. His body is crisscrossed and marks with scars across his body, signs of his years in the Blademarks where he learned much of the ways of war. Dantus's skin is the color of dirt upon the dry plain while his fur is a deep brown with tinges of red at the end. His eyes are the deep green of the forest and his hoofs are the color of dark iron, lending to his last name
Dantus keeps his equipment and weapon impeccably clean and well cared for, unwilling to let even the slightest blemish remain on them lest they become a flaw that can cause it to fail. While his look, demeanor and behavior speak of a soldier and of one who spent little time within the walls of a city he is attired in a fashion that almost reminds one of the eladrin of the Feywild. How this came to be is a mystery known only to Dantus himself.
Dantus was born amongst a tribe of rather unique Minotaur born upon The Talenta Plains to a clan of Minotaur that had escaped the harsh lands of Droaam, free from the rule of viscous warlords and The Daughters of Sora Kell. Dantus grew with up believing that he would one day march across the Plains bringing glory to the tride by smashing down its enemies with his immense power and strength. Many where the nights he thought of crushing Halflings atop Clawfoots or splitting the skulls of the Valenar as they raided into the lands of his people.
Fate it would seem had a different path for Dantus though. One day, while hunting across the Plains he stumbled across something he had never seen before. A small forest. While trees did appear sporadically never had he seen such a lush overflowing of nature in single spot. While the other juveniles with him refused to enter the trees Dantus ventured forth. The forest became revealed as a Manifest Zone of the Feywild and the young Minotaur had stumbled into the Feywild. Lost and confused he wandered for days and became sick with fever and lack of water. In this state a band of Eladrin stumbled across him. Thinking him to be a savage beast they prepared to strike him down when the leader of the band took pity on the young warrior.
They fed him and nursed him back to health and eventually came to realize there was more about him then what appeared to the eye. While he never learned the language of the mystical folk they did manage to communicate through their limited understanding of common and through much gesture and pantomine. It was here that Dantus began to learn the path of The Warden. The Eladrin taught him how to draw upon the spirits of nature, to feel the strength of the earth beneath his feet flow into his frame. To call upon their gifts and blessing as he faced all forms of dangers in the Feywild.
Time came and Dantus discovered another manifest zone that led him to the Eldeen Reaches and back to Eberron proper. Dantus, through his limited teachings during like on Plains knew almost nothing of geography and all he wanted was the burning desire to return home to his tribe. Having no coin and unwilling to part with the gifts the Eladrin had given him, armor and such, he had no coin with which to attempt the dangerous journey across Khovarie. While searching for options one presented itself in a recruiter for the Deneith Blademarks. The Recruiter was astounded to even find one of the Bullhead, literally, warriors so far from Droam and the chance to hire one without needing an entire mercenary crew from Droam he jumped at the chance. Seeing little other options Dantus agreed to enlist with them.
His time in Blademarks was spent well and he took the training with a fervor. He learned to fight with more then just insinct and rage. His skills as a Warden made him invaluable and after several difficult contracts during the Last War he rose to the rank of Sergeant with his company. Dantus renewed his contract and continued fighting for Deneith and the Blademarks up until the last day of the war. After his first year of service he replaced his ironbanded war club that he had carried for most of life with an Adamanite Craghammer nicknamed "Gorgon" for the fact that it made most men freeze where they stood at the sight of it when raised in their direction.
Dantus's allies granted him the name Ironhoof for his refusal to waver and move no matter the number of foes that rushed him and during a particular he recieved the title "The Iron Wall". Dantus and his men became seperated from the rest of their company and trapped against the wall of a fort they had been hired to defend. Dantus and his men refused to surrender despite overwhelming odds and after positiong themselves to use the walls to prevent flanking from they formed a wedge with Dantus at the head of the formation. The enemy came at them wave after wave and smashed upon Dantus and his men time and time again. While many of his troops fell Dantus refused to yield even as his blood stained the ground. By the time the rest of the company arrived only three had survived the assault and only Dantus remained on his feet, so weak he could barely lift his arms. The enemy fled and Dantus fell to the care of the healers for weeks after. Once he could move freely again his contract with the Blademarks expired his chose not to renew and instead wished to travel the rest of the world. His dream still remains to one day find his tribe again and reutn to life far simpler then one he has known to this point.

We can start with five but if we start with four while waiting then we might be stalling ourselves after everyone makes two posts in the game. So until we find a fifth as our primary healer we must wait this out.
(Of'course if anyone of you knows a friend who knows 4E DnD and has access to the internet then inviting that friend might get us the early start over all of this waiting.)

The lvl2 game I've letting you joined will make a perfect basic training for you. So, relax once you build a character sheet unassisted save the literatary instruction; the game mechanics will seems too easy to learned as you play.
As for tactics and teamplaywell that's your teammates job to teach you that stuff. Its the building part thats tricky and did a good job with what you built.
P.S. I going to hang this posting at the game forum you getting into to wet your toosies so everybody will know what coming in and ready to work with you.

Mnaefein is a huge silver dragonborn, so big that literally everybody he meets claims him the largest they've ever seen. Noble in stature and bearing, the 6'8" armor clad warrior always leaves a memorable impression. Wielding axe and shield, Mnaefein is comfortable anywhere on the field and will bolster his allies with powerful healing and guidance. Not much is known of the wandering duelists' past, but he displays a fervor for killing the undead. OOC: I'm not quite as familiar with Eberron as with Forgotten Realms or Dark Sun, so any background advice would be well appreciated! If you all would prefer a ranged healer, I have a Genasi Archer Warlord named Hah-Dyuken. Mnaefein has a whole lot of healing potential; I declined several attacks that grant additional healing in favor of ranged attacks with his Crashing Battleaxe. I'll continue to work on his mysterious background, but at this point he's Bloodsworn to kick somebody's ass. Spoiler:Show
