My first exposure to D&D was a collection of AD&D book I was found in my older brother's room. A friend had given them to him and he had pretty much ignored them.
There was one adventure in particular that I remember reading that really struck a cord. But I cannot, for the life of me, remember the title.
I'm pretty sure it was Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. It was an adventure for 1 higher level character. I remember you played as an elf. There were magic rings involved. I also remember a puzzle with a rope bridge where you would start to walk across is and when you got to the other side you were back on the side you started in. I believe it had a light blue cover with an awesome illustration of the elf hero.
Can anyone help stratch the mental itch I have?
Thanks.

Generally weren't available when it came out!!!
You need to remember that when that came out in 1984 (near 28 years ago!!) copy machines weren't nearly as available as they are now and certainly weren't things most people had. A scanner??? What's a scanner? Back in those days the dissemination of information wasn't nearly as easy as it was even a dozen years ago.

Personal opinion... I must confess that I cut up my first Red Box books and my AD&D 1st Edition Monster Manual and Monster Manual II for a school project. I have since replaced all three, of course, but I always feel a twinge of guilt when I think about it.
