You need Rod prof to use Arkhosian.

Property: You can apply the enhancement bonus of this item to the attack rolls and damage rolls of your dragon breath power, even if you can't normally use rods as implements.

Mmmm?

Yay reading. I must be thinking of the Ninefold feature

Much thanks Alcestis.

And you are correct about the whole feats and wisdom out the window.  The build has a fun dynamic which I'm enjoying.  I've never played a sorcerer before so I think this will be my next character to play.

If you want to use DiS with your sorc powers, unless you at-will swap things, Rod Prof is useful.

The Warlord, Or How to Wield a Barbarian One-Handed

The Bookish Barbarian

Fardiz: RAI is fairly clear, but RAZ is different

That assumes you want to use DIS, though. Bear in mind the build is feat starved already, so you're adding two feats to (DIS+Rod Prof) or your theme (which has so many good options for Rebreathers that aren't the Rod one that it is a discussion unto itself). If you're breathing 2x per round and, best case scenario, using Flame Spiral as a triple tap. Right? So throughout Paragon that makes DIS +3-4 damagex3, or 9-12. For two feats. Powerful Breath is 8-10 damage normally (4-5x2) and 12-15 when you AP. That is for one feat, not two.

There are a lot of examples like that. It isn't that DIS is bad, it is that there are stronger feats that boost only DB, or feats that are not quite as good as DIS would be normally, but since they also boost DB they end up being better. Like Echoes of Thunder is +2 to all your powers, which is +6-10 in our scenario for one feat. Granted you need to take Thundering Breath for that to be true, but you took that anyway to enable Arrogance. So call it three feats for 18-22 damage, or 6 damage per feat. DIS is only at 6 damage per feat on triple taps. And that all assumes equal accuracy as well, but of course DB is ahead...

Eh, I prefer to play 1/round rebreathers, namely because they tend to be so obsecenely powerful than spending a couple rounds on things like Draconic Majesty makes everyone happy.

one of the things I hope to see in this guide is a sort of self damage breakdown.  So basically how much you can expect to damage yourself vs how much you can absorb / mitigate the damage.  There's also some explanations about the various forms of resistance you accumulate, temps, bonuses and penalties etc..  Having a solid breakdown of it, maybe at levels 1, 5, 10, 11, 15,20,21,25,30 would probably help people avoid killing themselves in play haha.  It would also provide something for the DM to look at, so he/she can better understand the synergy along with the player.

I know that Matyr already has listed the temp gain breakdown for each level which is a good start.

My LFR group already calls my rebreather Lightning Vomit.  He doesn't care though, because I RP him as crazy :p

The Rebreather I play is named Swerki Loshi, although everyone calls him sparky.  He has an extreme oral fixation and a taste for the eclectic.  My DM has allowed me to strap my MH / OH to either side of my face and every spell I do comes from my mouth.  He talks about how his friends complete hi...... s circuit.

The Warforged has talked at length about mounting me on his shoulder like a Predator-style lazor cannon.
