So, what's the purpose of this power other than for Pacifist healers? One of the effects is removing the stunned condition on yourself. If the cleric is already stunned, how can he/she cast this to remove the condition?

Take a look at the action type of the power.  If it's a no action, you can use it even whilst stunned.  If not, then it's poorly written.
Harrying your Prey, the Easy Way: A Hunter's Handbook - the first of what will hopefully be many CharOp efforts on my part.
The Blinker - teleport everywhere. An Eladrin Knight/Eldritch Knight.

It's a standard action. Yeah, it's very poorly written.

Are we reading the same power? It's a blast attack that also allows the caster to remove a bunch of conditions on themselves and a single condition on each ally in the blast as well as damaging enemies in the blast.

Yep, it also gets rid of the stunned effect on the caster, but if the caster is already stunned, and can not take an action, how does the power go off? You have to take into account the chain of events. ie. Caster is stunned. No action. Turn ends. As per the spell, Spirit Flame requires a standard action to cast. The effect is, all sorts of conditions on the caster end, including stunned. In order for the effects to take place, the spell must first be cast. To cast the spell, the caster must have a standard action. If the caster is stunned, he gets no action. See the dilema?

You can't.  It's there because the list of things that it removes is doing double duty, both for what is removed from you as well as what can be removed from allies.

This is the case where the simplest and clearest way of writing it appears to be inefficient, but it is the least inefficient way.  Trying to write it in where they just leave "stunned" out of the list, then have to add it back for the ally effect, but put it back in if you could somehow get a standard action while stunned - it gets really complicated.  Whereas putting it in the list, even though it's not immediately apparent how you'd ever use it, fulfills the purpose intended by the writer of the power.

You can't.  There's no dilemma, you just can't.

The power just puts all the conditions it can remove in one line for simplicity's sake, instead of saying 'You remove this, this and this from yourself, and all of those and stunned from your allies." You can un-stun your allies, but not yourself.

By the way, there are ways to take actions when you're stunned ... if you MC'd/Hybrided Sorcerer and took Maiden's Waking (which lets you ignore being stunned, amongst other things, for a turn), you could use Spirit Flame to un-stun yourself.

Another day, another three or four entries to my Ignore List.

Our pacifist healer uses this - if they attack a boodied creature they are stunned, so they use spirit flame, including allies and some bloodied enemies - is stunned and then removes the stun, etc. So in answer to thew first question,  So, what's the purpose of this power other than for Pacifist healers? its pretty handy for them,  - - -there are many power choice option nothing wrong for having one for pacifist healers.

The purpose is to *remove nasty conditions from your allies (and yourself, if you're lucky) and do damage to enemies at the same time*.  What else shoudl it be?
