Trying to figure out what was happening to my friends cousin which was suffering from pain after his surgery with stryker hip replacement devices until I found some blogs about it. Actually, I can’t imagine this device is very much complicated and very dangerous. It was said in their site that the stryker corporation itself announced a voluntary recall to their two devices which are the stryker rejuvenate and stryker ABG II. The problem is, his now on trauma to go to hospital and have some check-up due to this kind of illness. He is afraid to be part of filing a stryker hip lawsuit to claim for their compensation. He doesn’t know what to do now. As well as the family members. Anyone could advice?

Ignore the cynic. It will be hard on the family and in all likelyhood the rat bastards will fold under bankruptcy like so many others - its going to take a long time to get anything and will likey cause some hardship. I cant say whether participation in the suit itself is a good idea or not. It might be best to go with it.

Is there anything negative about joining the lawsuit? Is the amount of compensation worth it? How do they propose to help out those that have been "wronged" by stryker?

I can't think of a way that being a part of the lawsuit would be a negative so I don't see any harm in being a part of it. And if it is a class action lawsuit the only part they will likely have to play in it is just signing up to be a part of it and some time later possibly getting some compensation. As far as I see it unless you can find some kind of negative to joining there is no reason not to.

First, an experience from a game I played in a few years back. Our DM didn't like 3.5 as a whole but liked parts of it. So he hands us a big ass rules packet for his modified FR campaign, complete with quotes from important NPC's on the front. I can't remember most of the HRs, just that some how gods like Cyric and Bhaal existed at the same time, despite the obvious problems there. In the end the game became a problem more because of the railroading than the HRs, but it ended with this classic line, after our ranger tried to disarm the strange woman following us WITH HIS BOW: DM: You just killed (insert random noble sounding name here) JP: Was she important? Jack: Dude, she's quoted on the front of the rules packet!

Doubful. The lawyers make out like kings from these kinds of lawsuits. He probably won't get much compensation, but maybe get the device replaced and paid for... maybe
