D&D in the News Opinion: The Spector of game AI 2012 August 28 by Luke Dicken
I want to start out by asserting that Dungeons & Dragons could quite easily be described as the best game ever made. It, and the table-top genre as a whole, has endured in a way no video game has to date.
Talk about this news here.

Absolute nonsense. Even assuming we limit games to RPGs, D&D was only the best on the market when it was the only thing on the market. The rest of the time, it was best only in the sense of it being easier to find a game [which is a major point since being mechanically perfect isn't worth much if you can never play it. But in the sense we normally talk about best game, D&D has usually ranked as honorable mention.]
