Does anyone know what happened to the D&D 4e movie that was supposed to come out? Did I miss that announcement or was the idea scrapped? Any clues???

Huh?  Far as I know, there has never been a movie that mentioned anything about the edition.

I think he means the sequel to the other two Dungeons and Dragons movies from a few years back. I don't know why it would be specifically 4e, aside from maybe having dragonborn and tieflings as heroes.

First, an experience from a game I played in a few years back. Our DM didn't like 3.5 as a whole but liked parts of it. So he hands us a big ass rules packet for his modified FR campaign, complete with quotes from important NPC's on the front. I can't remember most of the HRs, just that some how gods like Cyric and Bhaal existed at the same time, despite the obvious problems there. In the end the game became a problem more because of the railroading than the HRs, but it ended with this classic line, after our ranger tried to disarm the strange woman following us WITH HIS BOW: DM: You just killed (insert random noble sounding name here) JP: Was she important? Jack: Dude, she's quoted on the front of the rules packet!

After the meetup with Bastila (as she's carrying Revan's body), only TWO jedi masters remained with her. Let me tell you, the player whining about not getting to fight Revan himself shut up pretty quickly when he saw that.

At first, the movie was planned to be released with the paperback Book of Vile Darkness... apparently it doesn't hold anymore.
Looks like it has been pushed back to 2013...

They tag those movies with the D&D logo but they are not really related to D&D in general.
I mean, aside from the beholder in the first movie (which is a D&D IP), they are nothing more than generic SyFy TV movies...
SyFy movies are very rarely worth their screen time.

Yes to most of the above. The movie that was supposed to be released entitled The book of Vile Darkness. WOTC was even putting out or at least advertising a contest for one person who wins to be in the movie as their character. This was awhile back. I only said 4e because it was going to be with the logo of course and it was mentioned that it would be based on the 4e system at the time. I can only speculate as to the reasons why is was delayed.
