I wish I knew when and where I could actually see the film!
It's gone straight to DVD (somewhat unsurprisingly). Amazon.co.uk has it available for pre-order (though obviously it's Region 2). No sign of it on Amazon.com or Amazon.ca.

Well, to be fair, the sequel was pretty much all D&D all the time, it just wasn't very good and appeared to have a $100 budget. It did have a cleric of Obad-Hai, for instance.
I really enjoyed the 2nd D&D movie. It felt like a really well-done fan film to me. Of course, I think the cleric was a bit too secure in his faith (it's called Turn Undead, man! Not Turn Dragon!). And the googly-eyed guy that followed the dude with the monkey staff was awesome.
There were a ton of little "easter eggs" throughout that movie, with the Gem of True Seeing, mentions of Juiblex, and so on.
Had I paid a ton of money to see it in the theaters, I might have a different opinion. Still, Wrath of the Dragon God is better than 99% of the SyFy movies I've seen in the past. And I sure as hell picked up the Blu-Ray of it and the first one.
When I got home that day, I let their blood rain from the sky. It was magnificent.

I agree... The second D&D movie was not at all theatre quality, but we enjoyed it and thought it was great fun in a B-movie sort of way.

Ditto. As a Syfy channel-type movie, I was actually pretty happy with it.
When the main character said that they discovered a Colossal Black Dragon skeleton, I found myself thinking "get real... Black Dragons only go up 'Gargantuan' size".

I'd agree with this assessment (hell, I bought the DVD). I enjoyed the lich and most of the PCs. When I first saw the barbarian from #2 in #3 I was a little interested, but the rest of the trailer just looks so terrible...
4e D&D is not a "Tabletop MMO." It is not Massively Multiplayer, and is usually not played Online. Come up with better descriptions of your complaints, cuz this one means jack ****.

The special effects looked good, except that part when the guy blows apart. It looked so cheesy.
We summoned a devil once. All we used was the D&D books, too. It was pretty kwazy.

First, an experience from a game I played in a few years back. Our DM didn't like 3.5 as a whole but liked parts of it. So he hands us a big ass rules packet for his modified FR campaign, complete with quotes from important NPC's on the front. I can't remember most of the HRs, just that some how gods like Cyric and Bhaal existed at the same time, despite the obvious problems there. In the end the game became a problem more because of the railroading than the HRs, but it ended with this classic line, after our ranger tried to disarm the strange woman following us WITH HIS BOW: DM: You just killed (insert random noble sounding name here) JP: Was she important? Jack: Dude, she's quoted on the front of the rules packet!

Cut the last encounter on your way out after dealing with the Darth. He's the BBEG. Treat him as such. Play up that Darth Revan is THAT much of a badarse. When the shuttle landed, I had no less than 13 JEDI MASTERS step off the shuttle. The PCs were slack-jawed. After the meetup with Bastila (as she's carrying Revan's body), only TWO jedi masters remained with her. Let me tell you, the player whining about not getting to fight Revan himself shut up pretty quickly when he saw that. 
There's so much you can do with insanity, especially when it has alot of resources.
1. Cleric cast protection from fire on Tank.
2. Tank goes in and get surrounded by enemies.
3. Wizard cast fireball and blows them up.
4. ???
5. Profit
I go by the saying," If it ain't friendly fire then it's not working."

OD&D, 1E and 2E challenged the player.
3E challenged the character, not the player.
Now 4E takes it a step further by challenging a GROUP OF PLAYERS to work together as a TEAM.
That's why I love 4E.
