im trying to make a rogue with high damage and is basically untouchable. I already have my AC at 20 (im using a homebrew race that has +4 to dex but -2 to str and con,we adjusted the race to make it more balanced) so ive got the virtually untouchable part down, but for damage should i get weapon finnesse for all my melee weapons? what would be the best choice? and should i do anyting else to become an awesome rogue? Please help, it would be appreciated. By the way i'm lvl 2.

For a straight Rogue 20 build here's what I like. (if you don't have Two Weapon Fighting don't worry, just delay it all)
1 Two Weapon Fighting 3 Weapon Finesse (it is for all weapons that it can apply to in 3.5) 6 Martial Study (Cloak of Deception)* 9 Improved Two Weapon Fighting 10 (using a rogue ability as a feat) Martial Stance (Assassin's Stance)* 12 Shadow Blade * 15 Combat Reflexes 18 Savvy Rogue
This allows 8+Int skills/level at every level and a full progression in your rogue abilities (notably one is given up to grab a stance that's basically +2d6 Sneak attack, all the time, buyable only once). You've also got Dex to hit, Dex to damage (not precision damage, but real damage) and a 1/encounter swift action greater invis that lasts 1 turn.
* These are feats from Tome of Battle (Book of Nine Swords)
Another book you'll want to look at is Complete Scoundrel, particularly you'll want Skill Tricks including Acrobatic Backstab, a variety of Mobility and Manipulation tricks. You can take 1 per 2 character levels as you qualify for them (rounding your level down).
There are all kinds of STRONG rogue builds though and they get a lot more complex than this. If you're willing to multiclass I might suggest a 3-4 level dip in Swashbuckler and the Daring Outlaw feat (Complete Scoundrel). This will give you Weapon Finesse (freeing that feat), and Int to damage rolls but as precision damage.
Rogue abilities are quite good and shouldn't be overlooked however, Crippling Strike (with Savvy Rogue especially) can be a game changer Defensive Roll 3/day is likely to keep you alive. Opportunist with Combat Reflexes results in a crazy number of attacks/round.
Skills I reccomend.
Stealth: Hide and Move Silently Preception: Search Acrobatics/Athletics: Balance (5+), Escape Artist, Jump (5+), Tumble Technical: Open Locks, Disable Device Social: Bluff, Diplomacy (One if not both), Sense Motive (If going Diplo rogue 5 in this and 5 in bluff are good for Synergy)
I hope this helps.

It kind of depends. If you can flank consistantly, sneak attack should really take care of your damage. If the party doesn't have a fighter-type, though, that'd be a lot trickier.
As a finesse rogue, Shadow Blade is a great feat since it lets you add your Dex to damage as well as to-hit. However, so long as you can get sneak kicking in most of the time, it's more important just to hit because all the +1d6s are going to be worth more than a few point of extra (at low levels, you mix have Dex 18-20 and Str 10 or even 8 so it'd be a not insignificant +5, but by the time you get Shadow Blade, your sneak should be higher).
But yeah, Andarious' build is a fairly straightforward TWF rogue with ToB.

I would replace ITWF with Staggering Strike (CAdv) in Andarious' build. That feat hoses full-attackers (among others), and they make up the majority of dangerous melee attackers you will face.
ITWF shall be obtained via the Gloves of the Balanced Hand, in the MIC, if you have access to that book.

Well played OoP well played. I'm all about non-item dependant but it's not a big loss if you don't have the gloves.
