Talking? You're definitely doing it wrong.

Yes.
Definately doing it wrong.

Well, I fell to sleep about 8 pm last night.
I've been up since 5 am this morning.

It has been incredibly boring.
Hell, even my dogs have went back to sleep.

Thanks, but perhaps I should have been more specific. I'm looking for good 4x computer games that run on Linux or even Windows. Multiplayer isn't an important factor, since I just want a game I can kill time with when I get bored.

The MoO games were pretty good. They do suffer from one point in my rant about 4x space games that's become increasingly annoying to me, however. Stupid Star Lanes!

You know what game I really miss? The original Pax Imperia. Not the second one that was made for Windows, but the original that ran on a Mac.

I think our resident code-monkeys should get together and make a space 4x game that doesn't suck. I'm sure we have a couple, and that they know others. To make it really awesome, it should be a Linux game, and one of the races should be alien penguins that thrive on ice planets. Another just has to be Otterfolk, of course.

ya...I should just give in to my homesickness, get some fried food, crack a beer and reminisce of the old empire.  California sucks.
