I think Salla is probably right. Unfortunately, I also think a lot of people are going to do what Runfer_Cover has said he's doing. The longer WotC refuses to give a straight answer about this, the more people are going to turn off their auto-renew and let their subs expire, which is going to make WotC more likely to ditch the 4e tools as they'll be making less money from them.

It is a self-fulling prophecy.  WotC is no longer going to support 4e and then sales for new (what is left to release?) material becomes stagant, they will cry that people no longer want the old edition.

Personally, I have found 4e to be one of my favorite systems.  Right there with Savage Worlds and Dynamic Gaming System.

The book with kobolds and goblins seems to be the last of actual 4e mechanics. The drow one and the faerun one seem to be edition neutral.

So they have stopped any new material coming out.  I also wonder how well these books are selling and if someone interested will pick them up.

There's still what we get in the mags each month, but other than themes, yeah it seems most support is done with.

Mmhmmm. Unsurprisingly, WotC is shooting themselves in the foot.

Gold is for the mistress, silver for the maid
Copper for the craftsman, cunning at his trade."
"Good!" said the Baron, sitting in his hall,
"But Iron -- Cold Iron -- is master of them all."

Defenders: We ARE the wall!

I've replaced the previous Edition Warring line in my sig with this one, because honestly, everybody needs to work together to make the D&D they like without trampling on somebody else's D&D.

Miss d20 Modern? Take a look at Dias Ex Machina Game's UltraModern 4e!

Eh.  They have the usage stats from the Character Builder and Compendium readily available.  So long as those see enough use to cost-justify keeping them online, they're likely to stay online.
