1. I'm having fun because I'm playing in some capacity.
So, playing the monsters, and telling the DM's side of the co-operative story is not playing?
Damn it all I've been DOING IT WRROOOOONG!

I'd seriously reccomend makign a topic in the 'What's a DM to do?" forum and copypasting your party set-up there.

Okay, I'm done here then. Thank you for all your advice and witty banter. I'm not a rule breaker and never plan to be. Thank you for your time.
And the #1 item for the morally bankrupt... Why settle for a statue of a nude elf in your bedroom when you have a real, live nude elf, petrified and unpetrified on your command. She wears a tiara, when you utter a command word, she will be petrified, unpetrified, or disciplined. Any attempts by her to remove the tiara will be futile. Use her only as a statue, or to entertain any debauched desires you may have. 125,000 GP.

I'm so happy!! He called us witty! I'll have to facebook, tweet, AND blog about this day!
But on a serious note, if you are new to DMing, use some of the module adventures. There are 4 years of LFR mods out there that you can play as self contained chapters or use them to branch off into your own thing after you know the system a little better. Scales of war isn't bad to start with, and will take players from 1 to 30.

The standard d4 is somewhat (SOMEWHAT) rounded on the top, the older models are even flat. The Lego is shaped in such a way that in an emergency, you can use one as a makeshift surgical knife.
My wife asked me if her pants made her look fat. What do you think I said?
Wife: Do these pants make me look fat?
RedSiegfried: I just killed a bunch of orc women and children.

No brother, this was only the beginning. The plague has spread to the DM forum. We must purge the Xeno.
