If there's gonna be a DMPC, the DM should at least have the players do something whacky to summon him. Something like...

I've done just that. Also gave it a Knight's Move type power.

Thats a much better plan since instead of the high level DMPC winning the encounter for them, his entire job is to make the regular PCs look more awesome and get tons of free attacks.

Isn't that what being a DM is supposed to be about? (making the PCs feel like they are awesome?)
Of course the original poster had immense ego problems, but since i will not play with him, or even know where this school is, I really could not care less.

I actually live a few miles from the college and probably hopping into the game to see what's up, but honestly, unless the DMPC is either changed or gone, I'm probably not making any return trips.

I don't know, I'd say it's very possible that he'll get better as a DM.
OP, I think that as long as you can learn to have fun DMing without having to also play a character, you'll be set. A DM who does all the right things but doesn't enjoy being a DM can't be a good DM in the long run, I think.

How fortunate that the breaking of the balls was unsuccessful. Bruised maybe, broken no.
"Broken" implies there's something to break, which by RAW there isn't. Smashed, mangled, kicked and shredded maybe, but there's no hard structure to actually crack apart.

If you eat the body before it regenerates, that solves the problem. Most trolls don't grant intrinsics though, and if you're a monk it breaks vegan conduct.
