Any chance of WOTC offering a rebate or special offer for dungeon command on game day?
The reason I ask is because game day is being held at local retailers and they cannot offer the same price as online retailers the difference is almost 1/2, 39.99 vs. 25. In many cases people will try in store and buy online, hurting local business. And local business should be in wotc's goal because that will keep the game alive, people cannot play local tourneys online and completive gaming keeps the game alive

Havn't heard anything, but I'm right there with you. I don't understand how they expect stores to sell stuff, when Amazon marks it down to half the price. Personally, I'm iffy with $40 for a system designed for another system. (In this case, the rule books says you can play with 1, however it isn't much of a game, they expect you to go buy more, and for $40 a system, thats more then the boardgames!)
$65 - Boardgame with 40~ Unpainted Plastic Minis, fits 1-5 people.
$40 - Half a Boardgame with 12 Painted Plastic Mini, fits 1-2 people.
I get that there are "rare" minis, and that the price is high to keep them up (See the Dragonlith in the Undead expandsion coming out soon) however while I did enjoy the game, paying $40 for a paperbox (Actually, if it was cardboard, I don't think I would be as unhappy) with 12 minis and an imcomplete system left a bad taste in my mouth.

Yes, $20 bucks was the starting price for ddm1, dd2 or 2 starter magic decks. Now they've doubled that and expected people to actually start the hobby at $40. I started playing D&D at 3rd Ed and the players handbook was 20, then it became 27 3.5 and 35 4th. Based on that the price can go to 70 after some time. The game is too expensive and this is commin from not me but other people who own 90+ % of DDM
