Arguably, the only classes that are going to make full use of the Belt are the bard, cleric and paladin, all of which get boosts from all the mental stats (even if it's only will saves), especially Charisma, AND from the physical stats, since they are all melee combatants to some degree. (the sorc gets no real benefit from Strength, nor the druid from charisma). I'd say the Paladin and Cleric make great use of it...Wis for Spells, Cha for paladin saves and turns, Int to shore up low skill points...definitely made for them.

And, of course, pre-MIC, it does free up other slots.

Note that at 200k in one item, it's not something you are going to have until about level 19, anyways...and at level 21/Epic, it's actually dirt cheap and everyone should own one. Good defense against those nasty charisma draining monsters and stuff...

This is a reminder but the INT boost you get from wearing a magic item does NOT increase the number of skill ponts you get.  If you have INT 10 and wear an item that gives you +6 INT you do NOT get and additional 3 skill points each time you level and certain not for all your previous levels.

Right, and of those 3 mentioned (Bard, Paladin, Cleric), the only one with a class feature that relates to INT is the bard's bardic lore ability.  Apart from that, only INT-based skills would be affected.

Still, all 3 have some use for STR, DEX, CON, WIS, and CHA, even if it's just for a svaing throw bonus (WIS for bard and DEX for the other 2).

Woops, keep forgetting that change from 3E and Pathfinder, both of which did do that. heh!

Dex is also AC and init!  It's also possible to pick up feats and skills based off stats which are otherwise useless, but that's a general argument for all classes (like Disciplined Intellect for Int replacing Wis for most things, or the Int=Wis feat for monk AC).
