Hey guys! Well, I'll be playing in a low-mid OP campaign soon, and was looking for advice with this paladin. I wanted to make a Tiefling Paladin, and then the idea to use cold damage hit me as sort of funny. Spoiler:
Show
Reverence, level 11
Tiefling, Paladin, Hospitaler Versatile Expertise Option: Versatile Expertise (Heavy Blade) Versatile Expertise Option: Versatile Expertise (Holy Symbol) Auspicious Birth (Auspicious Birth Benefit) Theme: Guardian

So any advice would be appreciated. I'm particularly wondering what weapon category/other items to go with. The dm will be handing out "legendary" weapons, so no specific enchantment suggestions, please, but help with a category/associated feats would be great. Also any ideas on increasing cold damage (while staying a functional defender) would be nice as well. I should add that our dm usually focuses on whoever marks his creatures, but does occasionally attack other PCs. Thanks in advance for any help.

Versatile Expertise no, Devout Crusader expertise yes. You would be giving +1 shield bonus to all allies with devout crusader expertise if you use a shield and a one handed weapon.
Edit: got the name wrong, but the idea correct. Ez has the right feat.

You could swap out Versatile expertise for Devout Protector Expertise. Gives you the scaling +1/2/3 with weapon attack rolls w/ 1-handed melee weapons and implement attack rolls w/holy symbols. Also while you use a shield you allies gain a +1 shield bonus to AC with no restiction to positioning. As long as they are on the battlefield they get the bonus.

I'm playing a tiefling paladin with a focus on healing and fire instead of cold. You've got a solid build, and I've tossed down some thoughts for your consideration based on my experience from levels 5 to 12. I don't feel too strongly about any of these suggestions; match your play style and have fun.
- I've got Valorious Smite over Radiant Delirium because I hate ranged powers on melee guys, and I didn't take Wrath of the Crimson legion. Crazy, huh? If you really like Ardent Strike over Virtuous Strike for at will attacks I'd keep it the way it you've got it. Otherwise, swap Ardent Strike to Virtuous Strike and Radiant Delirium to Valorious Smite and you have another feat to spend in place of Wrath of the Crimson Legion. This is probably my best suggestion.
- Superior Willpower is usually a better option than Improved Defenses (at least with my GM); alternatively, take both feats (see above).
- I like Wrath of the Gods over Valiant Rush as a level 6 utility
- I have Hold Fast over Invogorating Smite; change to suit depending on how good any other defenders are. Hold Fast has been huge for me because my DM tends to run enemies that are beaten and we don't have a fighter
- I've been a bit dissapointed in Imperious Majesty, but I usually roll crap for initiative (or roll well for initiative and then miss)

Thanks for the suggestions Misha. I'll take a look at/compare the powers when I get home later.
As far as Superior Willpower, I was planning to take it at some point anyway, as my dm loves stuns and dazes. Imp. Defenses was just to try to shore up my other defenses for now, which aren't that great.

I personally really like Fortune Spurned Strike (Encounter 3) to make the target provoke at least one, but usually more Basic Attack on the way - it forces a move away, not a shift.
+1 to Wrath of the Gods.
I think Imperious Majesty can be traded in for Silvery Glow or Icy Heart/Blood of Levistus (if you can't take Silvery Glow) via Retraining. You can take it later, if you want it.
A level 11 damage of 1d8+19 is respectable.
