Okay, I'm not great at optimization, so I'm looking for some help.
I want to play a Revenant Vampire|Psion. Past life is Changeling. Focus on telepathic psion powers. Starting at level 4.
I have no clue how to optimize this. I have looked at the Psion guide, and gotten something out of that, but the vampire guide just says to hybrid, not what to pick as one. So... Most pressing questions:
1. Mind Thrust or Dishearten? 2. What vampire at-will? 3. DEX or INT starting at 18? Or maybe neither? 4. What MC? 5. Is there some better way to do this while maintaining the fluff? I do want to function in melee if I have to. 6. Is this doomed from the get-go?

1) Depends. 2) If you want to be in melee, Vampire Slam. 3) I'm tempted to say go Int/Cha, but Vampire Slam is needed for melee, and that's Dex based. 4) Swordmage will let you get a battlecrazed weapon, which would be nice. 5) Ardent|Vampire? Vryloka Psion? Not sure what fluff your trying to maintain. 6) It's never going to be optimal. But assuming the rest of your party doesn't do much char-op, it could be playable.

The fluff I'm going for is a telepathic, undead, unarmed, life-sucker. My party doesn't do much optimization, we have an artificer, an executioner, and either a battlemind or a cavalier, depending. So, yeah. Not much optimization...

If you are not that focused on the vampire slam, do psion, vampire heritage, elemental initiate for the unarmed attack. Won't do much damage though.

I'd pick up one of the Psion melee options and eventually get Kinetic Burst at 7th representing you punching all around you or something similar.

This is honestly among the worst possible hybrids you could have possibly come up with. If you want to play a Psion and Vampire, consider a Vampire MC.

Revenant as race and Vampiric Heritage will give you the flavor for that side. You could go straight monk then.

And my AC and hitpoints are controller-level. Melee is a bad idea in this case.

Going pure psion on this?

I know it's a bad hybrid, I'm asking for help making it not so bad. Vampire MC doesn't give me any way to go into melee, although melee is the first thing to go if something has to be dropped.

Elan Heritage can give you telepathy.
Then you can go straight vampire.
