Interesting, assuming the warlord gets done right then between the two of those you could turn a bunch of farmers into the equivalent of the King's elite Troopers.
Would make the old-school followers and such more interesting.

Wait, do you mean that bard was not the most awsome class in prior editions? They were weaker than most of the others, but bards has always been the most awsome characters! No matter how powerful!

3.x/Pathfinder Bards suck... if you take the terrible advice from the designers and play them as generalists. Specialist Bards easily rank 5th for most effective character class in the Player's Handbook, preceded only by the god-casters and Sorcerers.

I agree with you that bards have allways been awesome and should be awesome in 5E...
But what's so bad about Arcane healing?
